Shepherds Hut in peaceful south Wales farmland with spectacular mountain views
Get back to nature with a replenishing stay in a cosy retreat that’s perfect for creatives, situated on a hill in glorious peaceful Monmouthshire farm countryside, with a natural swimming pool, infrared sauna, orchard and gardens next to the farmhouse.
The location is a 138 acre organic mixed farm on a hillside with spectacular views towards the Black Mountains and Brecon Beacons. It’s a beautiful, wild and secluded setting, yet easily accessible, just off the M4, M5, and M50, with public transport links to Newport / Abergavenny, and onto London and the rest of the UK.
Trealy Farm is focused on retreats, therapy and wellbeing and has a variety of beautiful outdoor secluded spaces for walking and sitting, reading, writing, stargazing and letting ideas ferment.
Although the farm is sited in a quiet backwater of rural Monmouthshire, there are ample amenities and attractions nearby, including a well-stocked farm shop nearby, where you can buy local vegetables, cheeses, meats as well as essential supplies.
Abergavenny and Monmouth are both just a few minutes drive away if you’re looking for supermarket goods and some good local pubs, cafes, shops and walks. From here, we are perfectly situated for country walks and stargazing, with easy access to the wonders of Wales. Local attractions include Symonds Yat, The Wye Valley, the Forest of Dean, the bookshop market town and canoe centre of Hay on Wye, The Black Mountains, Bannau Brychenog (formerly known as the Brecon Beacons), Cardiff and the south Wales coast.
Sheppy has park up space next to it and is equipped with electric hook-up, full inventory and two gas rings, blinds and a log burner. There is a loo nearby, a warm shower and a picnic space next to the cabin. Please bring your own bedding (or supplementary charge of £10 if you require sheets, towels and pillow cases). Child free. Dogs welcome but please keep on a lead around the yard (no access to garden or pool). Logs available at £5 per bag.
