We enjoyed our stay in this hotel but with one major issue. The location is good. It is near the train station and the market. My wife enjoyed the bath. However, the temperature in the room is very hot. We were uncomfortable by the heating. There is no control for the heater in the room. Also, the breakfast is outside in the market with selected restaurants only.

We really enjoyed our stay at Tokyu Stay Hakodate Asaichi Akarinoyu! Our room was very cozy and had a view of the ocean which was nice! We chose it because of it's close location to the train station but it was also close to many of the attractions Hakodate has to offer including many good seafood and ramen restaurants. The staff was also very friendly and held our bags for us before we left for the train station. Overall great place to stay!

Even a standard double room is spacious and comfortable enough. Location is definitely a plus. JR station, bus terminal, morning market are all within 10 mins walk.

Beautiful hotel in a central location close to the train station and morning markets. Hotel facilities were wonderful including the indoor and outdoor onsen overlooking the city and the bay. Clean and spacious rooms. Friendly and efficient staff. Highly recommended.

Due to the language barrier, we won’t be able to call the restaurant to check if they were available for us to go or make a reservation, so we asked the hotel front desk to help make a call. They told me they couldn’t do it, and just gave us a map to check in person. It took 20 minutes to get there to only find out the restaurant wasn’t open. If the front desk could simply help us make a call, we would avoid the pointless trip.

Room was unbearablely hot with AC not working. I made the mistake in retrospect of using the in room washer and dryer which made it so bad I had to keep the door propped open to cool it off. The exterior window faced west so got the brunt of the long afternoon sun. And it didn't open at all

Really liked this place! Nice room with a good view. The AC didn't seem to cool but that may have been the date being Oct. The food voucher was cool, but I wish the food options were listed in English as I needed to google translate every page. The elevators were a bit slow though.

Great location, easy walking to amazing fish market and brick market. Breakfast options at local restaurants was fabulous. Staff helpful with English for us foreign travellers. 18th floor onsen was incredible, then to relax in the 17th floor lounge with a drink. Truly a unique and pampering experience. Highly recommend!!
