It's a cross between vintage and new. If you're a generation Zed this place would be perfect for you but if you're a seasoned traveling businessman look for something else this will not do the trick. Rooms are very small no amenities and the dining room has limited menu and the food is horrible along with the s***** service. I've stayed at Holiday Inn Expresses that are superior to this place. I would not recommend this to anybody unless you're under the age of 21.

Pros: staff are lovely, everything is spotless, it's in a great area of the city (close to everything but not too busy), the rooms make excellent use of the space. Cons: for us, this hotel trends too young and boisterous. We know now who the Moxy brand seems to be catering to, and that's great because young carefree people are often a bit oppressed at traditional hotels. HOWEVER, if you don't like music playing outside the front doors until midnight (which may also be outside your room), if a DJ in the lobby isn't top on your list of priorities, and if you're not crazy about sharing your hotel with almost entirely 18-24 year olds, you might want to reconsider. But if this IS what you like, then the Moxy brand is a classy, clean and welcoming brand and you should absolutely go for it.

This property is a glorified hostel! Do not stay here if you're staying for business travel. The in-room desk and a basic fold-out chair is not comfortable at all. There's no closet to hang up your clothes. Room amenities are basic at best, and the fridge made loud noises all night. The front desk staff was nice but that was the only redeeming thing about this hotel. For the price (I paid $366 all in), there are certainly better options in Halifax, especially for work travel.

Couldnt fault the hotel and staff they where both top notch, this hotel is different to your run of the mill hotel so not too everyones liking but we liked it. The only down side is the doors of the rooms, they are heavy and close very loudely from the outside so you can hear anyone exiting there rooms.

This property was great very unique, service was perfect, breakfast was excellent. The rooms are small but everything that you need is there bathroom was well equipped and very clean. The bed was amazing. It's a new hotel and new construction around but it wasn't an issue. Would certainly stay there again.

This place was AMAZING! The staff was so friendly and the hotel is the best choice for a younger crowd. My husband and I went and they upgraded our room & had a cute surprise! I love the lobby and the welcome drinks :)

Stayed in Moxy Halifax for 3 days. What I like: 1. The property is well maintained. It is neat every where, reception area, lobby, corridors and room. 2. The staff was polite and attentive. Requested for clearing trash and when I returned to room, they got it done and also replaced towels. 3. Proximity to Downtown is advantage. 4. Bed was cozy. My toddler daughter took long naps. What could have been better: 1. We checked in at 3:30AM and obviously, needed a good sleep. However woke up at 6AM to a false fire alarm that didn't stop for while. 2. The room on 2nd floor had view to a balcony of adjacent condo which was few metres away. Had to keep the blinds on for privacy. 3. The concrete ceiling of room is weird. Made room look sub par. 4. No child seat was available in dinning area. So we took take outs to have breakfast in room.

It has an interactive reception-combined reception, bar, and dining. The staffs are friendly and smiling. It’s clean and very nice. Although my room is not noise proof. I can hear people talking and laughing from the outside. And I can even smell the strong smoking of people that went inside my room. I was actually awakened by it. I was wondering where it was coming from… But, overall, I liked it’s strategic location and staffs.
