The Light Hotel is pleasant, well situated for sites. Courteous staff, nice dining & breakfast. Twin room without window ok for short stay 2-3 days. Swimming pool not big and tight for space when numbers using albeit nice to use. No real complaints (even though renovation work going on). Would consider using again if visiting.

Well located, welcoming staff, interior room without window was basic, very clean and somewhat dated but well priced. Rooftop pool was small and somewhat tired but again clean with a great view across old Hanoi. Would regard this hotel as more of a nice 3 star. Great for a short term stay.

The property is near the downtown walking area, you dont even need to order a car for meals or drinks. Hotel staff was friendly. Overall it was a clean environment. Would stay again.

Fantastic breakfast- v good hotel.
Good location, very clean with excellent staff in all areas. Very comfortable bed but no bed side reading lights and no table on one-side of the bed. The pool was closed for maintenance but we were able to use pool in hotel opposite. Staff advised me where to get e sim for my phone as well as info re local area. The breakfast buffet was fantastic, they had great crusty bread and such a tasty Pho, good coffee and loads of options like fruit, yoghurt, bacon, eggs, noodles, pancakes etc. a really great breakfast. We wanted to stay again when back in Hanoi but only had room with no window so we won’t be.

Convenient location clean room good service
While the room was small and basic, and not sound proof considering we are so close to the lift, we enjoyed our stay as the room was clean, bed was comfortable, staffs were attentive and the in house massage was reasonably priced and pretty good ! Best part is the area is conveniently located with lots of dining options within walking distance. The only concern was the busy street during the day with lots of motorbikes zooming past but that’s part of the local vibe. Wouldnt mind coming back and stay again.

The Light Hotel is EXCELLENT! Great, helpful staff ( "Tony" was especially kind in offering suggestions, showing me the amenities offered by the hotel.) It is very clean and comfortable, and the small rooftop pool was quite refreshing.The buffet breakfast was full of choice and delicious. The bar/lounge was friendly, welcoming, and the " Happy Hour" specials were especially nice. The location, near shops, " Train Street", and other Old Quarter sites makes this the perfect place to stay in Hanoi in my opinion. And the price was reasonable too! I'll definitely plan on staying here in the future when I return to Hanoi!!

The hotel is set in the Old Quarter in Hanoi. Area around very walkable with lots of food options available. The hotel itself has a beautiful outside. The rooms are small & a little tight

The Light is a Clean and comfortable hotel. The staff were friendly and helpful. The location, on the edge of the Old Quarter, made it a very walkable location for everything we wanted to see and do.

The staff were wonderful. Always quick to help. My room was roomy and clean. Although the description for the so called windows are a bit misleading. They are small and facing your neighbors window. The dont overlook anything other than your neighbor who have similar view. The breakfast was disappointing. Very limited selection and quite bland most days. The gym is alright. Bench press with Olympic barbell and plates that have a combine weight of 60kg. Not much, but better than nothing. Dumbells that go up to 24kg, Butterfly machine and pull down machine.Plus 2 treadmill and a stationary bike. A little cramp if you have more than 5 peole working out at a time. Open time is 10am-10pm. The location though is convenient because you can walk to all the sights and attractions in and out of the old quarter. Circle K is nearby and so is a Pharmacy. Tons of food option on both side of the hotel.

Was very clean room with comfortable plush pillows. Breakfast included was very good with great variety. We had a spa day at the hotel and it was wonderful for the price- highly recommended. They also gave a small gift of local coffee at check out.
