This hotel was away from the hub bub of the market and central city but accessible by walking or a close by tram. The staff made us feel welcomed and made our stay very pleasant. The breakfast buffet was outstanding and there were plenty of places to sit so we were not crowded.

Wonderful stay; highly recommend.
We stayed for two nights at the end of our Baltic family vacation. The hotel were friendly and helpful. They upgraded us to a suite from our family room, ensured he had a breakfast bag and taxi for our early morning flight, and provided my 10-year-old son with a ticket for a free mocktail during our stay. The sauna was a nice, hot experience; and the breakfast buffet was full of tasty food. The added bonus was the location. Only a 5 minute walk from the ferry terminal and less than 10 to the main harbour. Highly recommend.

World’s worst check-in
This hotel is right next to the Port of Helsinki and guests frequently arrive all at once. Check-in is advertised as 3pm, but staff warn guests that it won’t start untill 4pm. Result : there is a massive queue for check-in at 4. Each guest will wait 30 minutes. The hotel needs to quadruple afternoon check-in staffing levels. The hotel does offer luggage storage ahead of check-in but it’s in an unlocked room with no ticketing system. Anyone can walk straight in off the street, choose an expensive-looking bag, and walk out with it

Location on the passenger port profiles the customer base which always isn't the best thing (to have familes and groups coming in or going out to cruises keep guests up). All in all dated rooms and tech, our 2nd room lock stopped working and apparently there are no parts to fix them as they're too old. Garage is super cramped and tight, inducing a panick attack on mrs. when I tried to cram our rental there.

Beautiful hotel near many attractions. There is a wonderful public sauna with pools nearby that was a highlight. There is an outdoor market that served an excellent lunch of fresh seafood. Engel’s Cafe nearby was very nice as was a walking tour of the area that pointed out the historical significance of many of the streets and buildings.

The location is good. Though not near the central train station, it is easily accessible by tram from the train station. The tram stop is just a few minutes walk from the hotel. Many attractions are within walking distance or just a few stops by tram. The surrounding area is quiet and comfortable. Some rooms may have a view of the harbour. Breakfast has different choices. However, as it is a hotel with many rooms, it may be a bit crowded in the breakfast place.
