Tervetuloa Minnie siunausta. Kätkeytyneenä huipulla Dog Mountain, löydät rauhallisen pakopaikan nauttia kauneuden ja charmin Highlands, Pohjois-Carolinassa. Great house!
Overall, the house was great. Some issues we had: 1. We were not given check-in instructions and had to contact the property manager upon arrival. However, they promptly opened the door for us. 2. We were unaware that the huge bunk room did not have central heating or air. The room was freezing, and the small heater did not do enough. In addition, I would recommend shades for that room. There was a storm while we were there, and that room lit up every time it was lightening. Besides that, the house was lovely and we enjoyed staying there very much!

Perfect group mountain cabin!
I loved this property - beautiful location, less than 10 minutes from downtown Highlands, and perfect for groups. It was the right size for our group of 10 with plenty of space for eating & playing games together. The renovations make the property updated but it keeps a mountain cozy feel. Beautiful views from the cabin. The kitchen is well stocked & great for cooking in. Our primary complaint was with temperature regulation. Upstairs primary bedroom was at times 10-15 degrees hotter than the common areas, while the bunk room has no heating unit/vents if its own and was very cool. That room stayed cold for the entirety of our stay. The primary bathroom upstairs got very hot at times and the property could benefit from some improvements in heating/air. We had four cars there which at times got very crowded and difficult to navigate for coming and going, but this would have been fine with less cars. Overall HIGHLY recommend this property & would stay here again!

Great Views
Great place for my family over Thanksgiving 2024. Convenient to downtown Highlands a great view of the mountains. Perfectly decorated, lots of open space. Amazing, awesome Tv's for football viewing. My grandkids loved the bunk room only recommendation would be to add shades in the bunk room and update the cookware. highly recommend ! can't wait to book again.

We had a great stay (3 adults, 2 kids). The home is beautiful and spacious. We had a few minor issues that were resolved quickly, great communication. There aren't pictures listed of the bunk room but it was one of my kids favorite areas to play around in. Would definitely recommend.

Beautiful Property in Great Location
I am a travel agent and was tasked with finding a rental home that would accommodate a family & bridal party of 14 people for a wedding weekend getaway. Our agency does not typically book VRBO's as we cannot properly vett the property, however, this property is absolutely stunning and we will be sending clients back to this property in the future. Our clients can be quite choosy as are a luxury travel agency but our clients were absolutely thrilled with this home - they loved the location, amenities, the decor, the views and the spaciousness. Their only suggestion is to "put some seating in the bunk room and it needs some curtains." But they had a fabulous time and would definitely stay there again!

Perfect floor plan for our family. Only a few things needed tending to as a result of recent renovations- such as, no handle on trash can drawer in kitchen, loose faucet in master bath sink. Regulating the air conditioning so that the people on the main floor were cool without freezing the people on the lower floor was a bit tricky.

Amazing Property…Amazing Owners/Hosts…Best Vacation Ever!!!
Could not have been happier with our most recent vacation. We made a last minute change due to a horrible rental experience with another property. These owners were empathetic and helped expedite our transition and we were blown away with our new accommodations. Sometimes when one door shuts a better one opens, and that’s precisely what happened. Our children, their friends, and their “adopted” grandparents had an amazing week bonding, enjoying quality time on the back decks, having gourmet meals prepared in the chef’s kitchen, and sleeping in the most luxurious bedding. Every little detail was thought of in this remodel, and we are excited to make our return trip to Minnie Blessings soon! We will cherish our memories in the meanwhile…

Wonderful stay
The layout of the house was perfect for our family. Grandparents could stay upstairs and have access to kitchen and living area without having to do stairs. The owners completely renovated the property, and it’s beautiful. We loved that the three bedrooms had king sized beds and their own bath. The bunk room also had its own bath. We highly recommend this property!

Lovely stay, wonderful hosts
We stayed for 4 nights at this lovely home over the holiday this year. It has a great location and tons of room- pictures don't do it justice! The home had everything we needed to eat in a few nights of our stay, and a few of the extras (like firewood :) to make it special. The home has definitely been 'well loved' for awhile, so if you're looking for brand new & modern, this isn't for you. But... if you're looking for a nice, clean, comfortable home with lots of character, lots of room and a great location - it's perfect! The views of sunrise were absolutely spectacular. The hosts of the property, Michael & Lee, were a pleasure to deal with. They were flexible with our friends when a couple arrived earlier than expected and understanding and responsive when we had a few hiccups during our stay. We would definitely stay here again.

I did quite a bit of research before choosing this house for our stay. I live in an historic home and own a lake recreational home. This place was likely built some 50 years ago so it has been updated from time to time. If you must have brand new everything this might not be for you. For us it was just what we wanted. Great view from the back deck. Beautiful great room. Easy to get in and out as the parking is level with the rear of the house. Cool sleeping porch. And the owners leave certain spices, etc.. in the kitchen cabinet so you have to buy EVERYTHING. Very close to town. Once you get use to the narrow road that takes you up to the house its a piece of cake. Had an issue with the WiFi when we first got there but just required us to plug in the router which Im guessing the house cleaners accidently unplugged. Lee was very friendly and responsive about that. Overall its a great place and I would stay there again.

Disappointed with the condition of many items.
Basically, a decent home to stay in but we were puzzled by the high ratings. It's an older house that is aged and worn and not maintained well for rentals. There were 5 of us ladies celebrating a birthday. Three of us have our own rentals, so we have basic expectations for rentals in this price range. The entrance was hard to find because the Minnie Blessing signage featured in the VRBO photo had fallen off and the house number was not visible. We found the sign propped up by the front door. We arrived at around 5 p.m. in rain and the numbers were not easy to see. Just gray metal numbers against wood. I missed the drive upon arrival. The view was very nice but not expansive. The listing shows four rocking chairs on the deck but there were only two. The listing states "newly renovated", but that seemed a bit misleading. The kitchen had some new appliances, but the cabinetry appeared to be original with doors and drawers showing their age. The master bath was probably renovated as well as additional new toilets. The master suite was lovely, as well as the sleeping porch, but the other beds and baths had issues. There wasn't enough light - there were lamps with bare bulbs and broken lampshades. We had to move functioning lamps to wherever we needed them. There were no mattress pads or pillow protectors on 3 of the 4 beds we used. We discovered the pillows were stained with sweat when we stripped the beds. The comforters on the bed were very well worn. There were half-used rolls of toilet paper left on the dispensers and baskets in the bathrooms, which is not sanitary, especially during COVID. The towels were old, worn, dingy, and damp to touch. There was no soap, just two things of hand soap. We could only find six washcloths. The towel bar in one of the lower bathrooms was ripped off the wall and missing. The coffee pot needs to be replaced. It only made 4 cups and left the remaining six cups of water in the reservoir. Garage door opener did not appear to work. There were no directions on how to use the TV or what the five remotes on the coffee table were supposed to operate. The basement was very musty despite the large dehumidifier. The odor was very strong. Our first morning the lawn company started blowing leaves at 8:45 am. Then the pest control company showed up at 10 am. We did not let them inside the home. There had been no heads up from the owners.

Great view and location
A wonderful family home with an equally wonderful view. Located almost to the top of a mountain yet only 5 minutes from town. It has a well stocked kitchen and comfortable living room furniture. We would definitely consider staying there again!
