Castle By the Sea... Seven Bedroom, Eight Bath, Luxury Home with Elevator... North Forest Beach, 90 Yards to the Beach... New in 2005, updated yearly!

We invite you to stay at our Castle by the Sea. Located in the North Forest Beach area of Hilton Head Island, this seven bedroom, eight bath (six full and two half) home offers the best of everything for a family vacation. This home is located less than 90 yards to the beach. It is an easy walk to the popular Coligny Plaza.

Our Castle by the Sea offers seven bedrooms - Three kid-themed bedrooms for the children and four Master bedrooms with King Beds and en-suite bathrooms for the children. All of the bedrooms except one of the children’s bedrooms has a private, en-suite bathroom. Two of the four Master bedrooms have whirlpool bathtubs as well as glass showers. On the upper level, there is also a loft with a pull-out, queen-size sleeper sofa. All of our bedrooms and living areas are furnished with name brand furniture including Lexington, Hooker, LaZBoy and Bassett. The bed linens are designers including Ralph Lauren, Disney Store, and Charter Club. For your comfort, each bedroom is equipped with a ceiling fan. All of the closets have been customized with built in closets for the utmost in storage and convenience.

Going to the beach? Included in the house is a plastic wagon for trips to the beach. Your Castle by the Sea is located less than 90 yards to the Beach. The walk to the beach is on a sandy road with little traffic. Located a few blocks from the large hotels, this section of beach is quiet and not very crowded.

What better for a trip to the beach than sleeping Under the Sea?

For your mermaids and mermen, take a weeks’ vacation Under the Sea. Designed to feel like the children are under water with their sea life friends, the entire room is painted like water. Our Sea Castle room features a queen size bunkbed with mermaid bedding.

Our other Under the Sea room features two sets of twin bunkbeds decorated like castles under the sea.

Our third children's bedroom is called Cottage by the Sea and features a cottage shaped bunkbed with a full size bed on the bottom and a twin on top.

This home offers a large (roughly 16 x 30 feet) pool with a heated spa. For those of you traveling with babies or toddlers, our pool offers a large sun deck step at the entrance to the pool which is six inches deep where young ones can sit and splash in the water. We have also included a swim out ledge around half of the pool for new swimmers to be able to play and rest. Surrounding the pool is a large deck area equipped with an outdoor kitchen which includes a gas barbecue grill, beverage refrigerator, countertop and seating and a sink. The pool area also includes covered porches, and plenty of lounge chairs and tables. At the street level is an outdoor shower for rinsing off after making sand castles at the beach.

Your family will also enjoy the other areas in the home including a large great room, a games room in the garage, dining room, and fully-equipped kitchen. The great room offers a big screen TV and Roku. For your seating comfort, the great room is furnished with a huge sectional leather sofa, an oversized chair and a long window box seat.

The custom kitchen is stocked with everything you would need to cook an entire Thanksgiving meal for a large family. No expense has been spared on this kitchen from the granite counter tops and custom cabinetry to the high end appliances. Do not like to do dishes? Do not worry, this kitchen has two full-size dishwashers for cleaning up even the biggest meal.

The games room in the garage has a pool table, small Little Tykes gym for kids, putting green, counter/bar area and a TV. For those who enjoy surfing the web or need to catch up on work, our house offers free high speed fiber optic Internet access. Are there any train lovers in your family? Our home offers a full size Thomas-like train table and train set for the junior engineers! Our Castle by the Sea offers a kids gaming area with an Xbox for video gamers.

The entire house offers air conditioning and heat for your comfort. All linens and towels are provided free of charge including beach towels. Each bathroom is furnished with a wall mounted hair dryer. There is a washer, dryer, iron and ironing board on the first floor. This home is non-smoking. No pets allowed. Pool heating is available upon request for additional charge.

We have a 24 hour management company. Our home is maintained with cleaning, pest control, landscaping, and pool services regularly.

Would stay here again!

Absolutely loved the layout of the home, the kid friendly “extras”, the pool & hot tub set up…I could go on and on! The location is perfectly located on a quiet part of the island but within walking distance to restaurants, shops, ice cream, bars, and walking/biking paths. This was the perfect home for our family to gather for spring break.

Wonderful property at Forest Beach

We decided to take the family to Hilton Head Island. Our son and daughter joined us, so we rented the North Forest Beach - Castle by the Sea. We have been property owners at Hilton Head for 16 years. After selling our condo we wanted to try the Castle by the Sea house due to the photos on the VRBO site and the fact is was in North Forest Beach. We communicated with Melynda, the property owner prior to arriving, and she was always responsive and answered my questions. We arrived early to Hilton Head and stayed at a hotel and I reached out to Melynda to see if there was any chance for an early check-in. She talked to the on-island property management team, and we received a text message we could get in 4 hours earlier than normal. That was great. The house is very comfortable, we got to try out reclining beds, and all the adults had master suites. The kids had their own rooms and everyone had a great time. The weather wasn't as good as we hoped, but we were able to get to the beach a couple of the days. It was shocking how close the house is to beach. Our former condo was right on beach, and the walk from Castle-by-the-Sea house to the beach was about the same. It was also nice to walk to Coligny for shopping, dinners, and refreshments. This is a great property and I would strongly recommend it!

Great Place to Ride Out Tropical Storm Debby

We arrived at "Castle By The Sea" and found it very clean, well stocked and in good location for visiting the Beach. The home is comfortable and has everything one may need-- dishes, blenders, music speaker, multiple refrigerators, etc. We found Beach Toys, great Beach Towels and a Wagon for transporting all these items for the 5 minute walk to the Beach. We had the opportunity to spend a lot of time in the home since the Tropical Storm paid us a visit on Days 2-5 of our vacation. We spent this time indoors-- playing pool and Jenga in the Garage, working puzzles and the younger set enjoyed using their Gaming system on the TV in the Upstairs Game Room. The Management Company personnel, Katherine, was kind and responsive to our questions. Everything was "perfect"-- EXCEPT for the Weather !!!

Very child friendly. The children were delighted with their rooms. Would suggest a magnetic catch on accordion door to elevator so someone who uses walker could use elevator alone .

Dream house

Very well stocked with dishes, pots and pans, 4 (!) refrigerators, 2 dishwashers which with the age range of our group really came in handy. Easy walk to beach, and several restaurants. Clean, every bedroom stayed cool even on the hottest day. Lovely lovely home.

Spring Break Family Gathering

The property was as nice as the pictures. We thoroughly enjoyed the heated pool/spa and the well-equipped kitchen and game rooms. There were 15 of us and there was plenty of space for all. A 2-3 minute walk to a beautiful beach and maybe 10 minutes to shopping/restaurants/bakeries. We had a couple of minor issues but the communications with the owner and property manager resulted in quick resolutions of those issues. If we come back to HH in the future, we would certainly rent this place again.

Home away from home

Great for the whole family! We were able to get the entire family in this house which was really the best way to spend quality time together on vacation. Really felt like our own home at the beach with everything we could need or want. Options of the beach or the pool kept all the kids entertained endlessly, that or Madden football on the Xbox. The walk to the beach is so short it hardly seemed like a walk. Was so nice to have all the beaches toys and accessories and the cart to get them to the beach. The flashlights with the red light filter was a nice touch for beach walks at night. Really nice to have the ice maker in the basement as well to fill up the coolers. Property manager was very responsive and checked in on things midweek and which was appreciated. Minor points for improvements would be an upgrade to the toilet paper (paper thin) and the beach towels (some falling apart). Having a vacuum would be nice to mitigate the constant influx of sand through the front door. Would have also been nice to have a garage door opener to make getting bikes in and out of the garage much more efficient. Kitchen had all the necessary components but would have been nice to have a large skillet (only one smaller one available).

Annual Family Vacation

Our family which consists of 10 adults and 6 children enjoyed a most enjoyable experience at this beautiful beach house called Castle by the Sea. House had bountiful space and bedding for all. Large pool and very short walk to the beach. Kitchen was well supplied and bedding was very comfortable. God has been so gracious to our family and to enjoy such a beautiful vacation with children and grandchildren is such a blessing. Owner of property was extremely hospitable and vacation company very responsive. I highly recommend this property. We have already booked for next year!

Nice place, great location, some hiccups

This place was okay. Given the cost to stay, I was disappointed in a few things. First, the place has some cleanliness issues. Specifically, there were many dishes clearly not washed and just placed back into the cabinets with old food caked onto them. Gross. I mentioned this to the management company and they head scratchingly responded it wasn't their job to clean the dishes? Okay... There were many items broken or not working. These were generally smaller items, such as luggage racks, but this property is in need of a walk through with a detail oriented person. My biggest complaint is that the owner of the property was not, in my opinion, respectful of our stay as guests. We stayed the first week of September, which I guess is the "end of the season", but they had all kinds of vendors in and out of the place over the week. This got to be annoying, especially when a roofer arrived planning on doing work in the main area of the house where the pool and outdoor area is. I understand that things need to get done on a property, but do that stuff on your own time, not mine. Overall, the place was great for kids, fantastic location, easy check-in. Nice amenities for the kids. I am sure our stay had some hiccups that others wouldn't normally expect but my rating is based on our individual experience.

Great house near Coligney

Our extended family (10 adults, 4 kids under 9) stayed here for a week. The house is in a great location. 1/2 block walk to the beach, just under 1/2 mile to Coligney shops and restaurants. The owners make it easy! The house has everything you could possibly want - in the kitchen, games/books for kids, high chairs, pack and play, and plenty of beach and pool items to borrow. The owner and property manager were easy to communicate with and we really enjoyed our stay. We hope to come back next year!

Perfect family vacation

We really enjoyed our stay at castle by the sea. The location was close to the beach and a very easy walk. The house was nice and big so everyone had the bedroom arrangement required. One of our the 2 refrigerators and 2 dishwashers were great for our large group. The house was well equipped with everything needed in the kitchen. The pool - hot tub was used a lot every day. Great house

Family spending time together at the Castle!

The castle allowed us to bring our family together at one place for the first time in 4-5 years. We were able to eat together, play together and enjoy our grand children together. The elevator was a great addition as the stairs could get tiring, especially for seniors! Great beach access and the pool allowed us to relax day time and evening. The home had many things for our enjoyment, from beach toys, chairs and umbrellas to a pool table, gas grill and TVs and game room. Great place!

Perfect Family Vacation

Our party of 18 thoroughly enjoyed Castle by the Sea! The house was beautiful and updated. The adult bathrooms and bedroom were comfortable and spacious. The kid bedrooms were charming, but the beds themselves weren’t very comfortable as there were no box springs. Little kids don’t mind, but the teenagers did. The game room was well used. The best thing and focal point of the whole house was the great outside area with the pool, hot tub, and plenty of tables and lawn chairs. It was fantastic! The beach is a minute away and we loved that it wasn’t that crowded. Coligny Park is a short walk away as well as a good Tiki bar. We Loved HHI!! The basement has a pool table, several beach toys and wagon, as well as an extra washer and an ice machine. The home feels private with all the palm trees around it. Very beautiful and relaxing.

Wonderful House and Location

The Castle by the Sea is as advertised. It is a short walk to the beach (2 minutes or so) and a short walk to Coligny Plaza. The house was fantastic. We had six college students with us and they loved the house, the rooms, the pool and the hot tub. While half of them were old enough to go out to clubs and restaurants, they found the amenities at the house to appealing to leave. We rented some bikes for the week and everyone had the opportunity to use them. We used the chess board for a couple of games and enjoyed the pool table. The kitchen is fully stocked. We thoroughly enjoyed the property. We had great communication with the property manager and the owner Melynda. There were no significant issues or problems and overall it was a fantastic stay. I highly recommend the property. It clearly will make younger kids happy but our group of young women loved it just as much!

Wonderful Beach Community

A quick walk to the beach, a minute to the private pool and hot tub, a 10 minute walk to restaurants . . . What more could we have asked for? Oh, and a bicycle ride on the beach and on a system of paved off-street paths! Ideal house for the entire family.

Fall break vacay

We vacay annually during fall break. We decided to give HHI a try and the location was perfect. We appreciated the referral on bike and chair rentals and our property was fabulous!! Plenty of space. Super kid friendly and just steps to the beach. Our family enjoyed the pool and we grilled out in a few occasions.
