This tastefully-decorated vacation rental features a comfortable living room, an updated, full kitchen with stainless steel appliances, and a dining area with seating for six. Off the back of this home is an open and furnished private patio complete with a gas grill. There's also a furnished balcony on the second story that overlooks this entire space.

Shipyard Plantation is an 800-acre gated community conveniently located in the heart of the south end of Hilton Head Island. The complex is just a short walk or bike ride away from the beach, as well as being conveniently Close to the popular Coligny shopping and dining complex. This unit could be a nice 2 bedroom, not a 3 bedroom. The 3rd bedroom does not have a vent for ventilation, The room is the size of a walk in closet. The unit needs some TLC. There seemed to be water damage in the living room. Also, there was a problem with palmetto bugs. I would not recommend.

Great home.
Kitchen had all the essentials. Bedrooms are spacious and the bathrooms are nice. Family room had tons of space with plenty of comfortable seating. Would definitely stay here again.

AC an issue
Though it's nicely decorated and well equipped (and I love Shipyard), I would not stay here again due the a/c really not strong enough to cool the upstairs. Even in early June, it was too hot upstairs. Everyone was uncomfortable sleeping except for the person on the sofa bed downstairs (where it was cold). Needed at the minimum some additional fans. Also the bunk room is not really a room, but a closet. It's not big enough for teens. It's fine for small children.

Dryer dirty, missing blinds
Washer was working well. The dryer had so much sand in it from previous people that we were unable to use it at all. Sand literally sits on the walls of the dryer. Many blinds are broken and non functional in every room. Matress and pillows are not comfortable at all. Location is great and the area but the condo needs improvement.
