Nice hotel but bad air con system
Staff was friendly and polite. Rooms and Lobby was clean. Breakfast and afternoon tea was reasonable. Only issue is that the air condition as you can't control the fan direction. Even on low setting and high temperature, its too very cold when sleeping with the air blowing towards our heads. Can't switch it off as it gets too hot. The bed is big but not the most comfortable and walls are not soundproof so was noisy.

I stayed here a couple of times during my trip to HCMC and will stay again but in a different room. Great staff, nice decor, comfortable beds. My only negative is that I was given a ROOM WITH NO WINDOWS. There was no mention of the room having no windows in the Wotif information. It was a well setup room but it was uncomfortable not having a window. If I had known that this was the case when I was booking I would have absolutely chosen a different room in the hotel. Please Au Lac- update your Wotif information Apart from that it was a great stay Thanks

Good choice
Room had no window but was still rather sweet. The in room amenities were rather basic and the lift is horribly slow. However, afternoon tea was lovely and the lobby is delightful. Staff were friendly and helpful, good location.

This was our second stay at the hotel as it was a round trip. Breakfast was very good. Rooms were clean staff was very helpful. Henry was very welcoming and helped us with airport transfers. Would definitely return on our next visit

I would consider this hotel very average. The check in process felt very hectic and the front desk staff could use a little bit more friendliness. After reading back through the reviews most are pretty spot on. The best part about the hotel is the rooftop. The rooms were a little small and outdated. The shower was the best part of the room. I’m not sure I would stay here again but it made do for the two nights.

Stayed 2 nights. Great location. Walkable to several main attractions. The hotel is a great value and even better if you can get their sale or discount days. The buffet breakfast was plentiful with many fresh options on both days. The rooftop has a small pool (good for dipping and photo op), a bar, gym, steam room and an area for tea time(free afternoon snacks and drinks). I had the detox tea that was exquisite and delicious! The rooftop facilities are small but both afternoons that we were up there, there weren’t many other patrons and it never felt crowded. Everything else that we needed was satisfied. The staff were great. Highly recommend this hotel.

Facility- 10/10 everything wonderful, including the room and 11th floor deck. Window between bathroom and bedroom was curious Staff 10/10- extremely friendly and helpful, all of whom speak English and just want to help Location- 10/10. Easy walking distance to the main sight-seeing spots. Somewhat noisy location, but that's true of all of District 1. Breakfast buffet 5/10. The first morning buffet was fantastic; delicious food, fresh fruit, made-to-order eggs and lots of hot strong coffee. Second morning, everything was cold including the coffee. Not sure what happened, almost like they completely forgot to take care of the food for us. This must be improved to secure our future business.

The experience we had was amazing. We couldn’t have asked for a better hotel. The communication with Henry for airport pickup and checking in was terrific. Henry and the staff were so friendly and helpful. Our room was clean as was the hotel. Very comfortable pace to stay. We would definitely stay here again and highly recommended.
