Staff were very friendly, polite and helpful We ate our evening meal there which was fantasticThe breakfast was included menu choice amazing, hot breakfast and coffee delicious. Highly recommended. Our room had a view of the harbour. Very clean and spacious.

The location is perfect, the staff were very helpful and friendly. Food and drinks were very nice. Beds were very comfy, would definitely go back. Breakfast was amazing!!

Great location, easy walk to Salamanca for eats and drinks. Felt safe with the only access to accommodation needing a pass card. Parking available within an easy walk for an extra cost.

We were surprised with how inexpensive this hotel was! Right on the waterfront, close to local restaurants, and very walkable to all’s of Hobart’s highlights. The included breakfast was the best hotel breakfast I have ever had. I would stay here again

The location was perfect for tour pickups and the market area. All of the staff we met were most helpful. Included breakfast was very good with a lot of choice. Highly recommended.

Staff friendly, rooms clean comfortable and quiet (we stayed mid week). Location is fantastic, brief walking distance to town/shopping, Salamanca markets, and the Harbour. Complimentary breakfast was tasty too. Only downside was the cost for parking :(

Love this hotel, very central to many things (shops, restaurants, bars, Salamanca Markets, Battery Hill). It’s a very old building but rooms are refurbished and mostly well maintained and comfortable. Little bit neglected with cleaning this visit (lipstick still on a mug, 1 teaspoon for 2 people, bit of mould in the shower) but not deal breakers. Inclusion of breakfast is our favourite thing, and it’s very good! Staff in the restaurant were friendly & welcoming, especially the hostess who greeted us and took our orders, she was amazing! Overall a good option if you enjoy the waterfront, walking to places and somewhere that’s pretty good value.

Lovely, friendly hotel.
It was lovely to be back at Customs House. it is very friendly hotel with fun quirky rooms, a great location and a very tasty breakfast included. Just be aware you sometimes need to carry your suitcase up some short stairs.
