Staff was friendly and welcoming and very informative. A map was given upon arrival with advice on local eateries and restaurants and information on local sites to visit. Milk provided, decent plunger coffee, tea and milo options in room. Rooms were clean, tidy and all for a reasonable price. Would definitely stay again.
Sonja was fantastic! Picked me up, made sure I had everything I needed. Hotel is an easy walk to town. Room had a lovely spa and a very well fitted out small kitchen area for longer stays. Would definitely recommend!

IMMACULATE! I have never seen a shower or spa bath or hotel room for that matter so spotlessly clean. The room was so comfortable and had everything you might need for a short or longer stay. Tea kettle, coffee press, tea pot with strainer, kitchen utensils, etc. Everything was provided. Would definitely recommend!

Would highly recommend for anybody looking to stay in Hokitika.
I stayed there on a business trip, for which I look for a clean room, comfortable bed, good bathroom and a place to work. Stopforths provided all of these requirements.
Stopforths was a perfect base for our time in Hokotika. The room was well appointed, with good desk, table for playing games or eating, nice shower, comfortable bed, friendly staff, good proximity to center of town. A little tricky to find, but no big deal. All in all, an excellent choice and we'd come back again.

I booked through the website, I was immediately on my way to the place of stay to have the actual company call and say they had booked it out already. A really poor way to advertise and provide a service as clearly this would happen often if multiple places are booking a accomodation service. It left me in the lurch with no accomodation.

The most rude service in my New Zealand trip. Owner was arguably the most bitter lady I have met in this country. Also there is very limited parking. Please avoid this hotel at all cost.
