Lovely place to stay, really nice bar and outside seating area. We booked the cosy room which was more than adequate for a two night stay. Breakfast was very nice, i had the full english but plenty of other options available. Friendly and helpful staff. Would definitely recommend and stay there again should we find ourselves in the holt area.
Stayed at this hotel many times. Pleasant helpful staff. Very clean comfortable rooms and well equipped. Lovely town with individual shops. Great breakfast.
Excellent comfortable large room. TV reception was a bit variable - loose aerial. Nice touch of coffee machine, kettle, coffee, teas and fresh milk available. Annex pleasant with good parking but about 4 to 5 mins walk from main building. Unfortunately was given dirty cutlery in restaurant on first night (immediately changed) and advised Amex not accepted in restaurant on third night. It was after I showed that I paid with Amex the previous two nights. Breakfasts excellent. Great value via Hotels.Com. and staff friendly and helpful. Would go again.
Hotel in good position in centre of town. Room was very warm at night and duvet was about 12 tog. Evening meal and breakfast excellent. Staff friendly and helpful.

Stay was ok but Consistent humming noise from some machinery intrusive in room.
Our stay was very good. Food and staff were lovely. and very helpful despite being short staffed.
No hot water in bathroom basin during our stay.
Last day no water for coffee at breakfast. Decided to use coffee machine in our room but it did not work!
Apart from those issues we enjoyed our stay and thought the refurb was an improvement
Compact room thin walls can here everything shower ok toilet not very good but all surpassed by very friendly and helpful staff and our evening meal was fantastic the lamb was very nice need to improve parking I had to park in the street car park was full so was the lawns need number plate recognition but overall would stay again
We had an excellent stay at Holt. Brad the duty manager is an exceptional hospitality professional. Despite being new to the post, he is a tribute to the establishment. Highly recommended.
Lovely sized room for the two of us and our dog. Very welcoming to dogs throughout the whole Inn, which was very much appreciated. Comfortable bed, clean room, nice bathroom, shower ok, a little noise from music downstairs, but all went quiet about 10 pm. Nice breakfast and also enjoyed an evening meal too!

It most probably is a very nice hotel except for Room 6! When we arrived (17.30) there was a noisy extractor fan below which made the windows rattle constantly. I asked for another room but was told that the fan would be turned off and would be okay then. When we came back after dinner and had drinks in the bar we returned to the room and it was till rattling. On complaining again (22.00) we were then offered another room, but this was much too late to repack etc. eventually they shouted to the kitchen to turn off the fan which they did and the rattling stopped. We were given a £35 refund to the expeida account but that was not the point, the stay was really ruined by then.
I have to say that the breakfast was excellent though!
