Location, Location, Location
Located at the quiet end of Waikiki, this condo is a home away from home. The kitchen is fully equipped and functional. The rooms are good sized. We used the dining area as a work space and a dining space. The bathroom is beautifully tiled and appointed. The building is quiet. You can walk to multiple beaches, the great restaurants in Waikiki, and shopping.

Comfort & Location
My husband & I stayed 3 weeks at this comfortable stylish condo. From the moment we entered till we left, we felt at home. Donna was quickly available to answer our questions, so helpful! The hotel’s location is in a quieter area near Diamondhead. We enjoyed watching the sun set from the hotel’s lanai. As a couple I highly recommend this condo for the space it provides & the caretakership that Donna provides.

Great condo, great location
I had a great time in this rental. Perfect location in terms of getting around Oahu, walkable to Waikiki and Diamond Head, close to a couple of surf spots. Clean, well furnished and reasonably priced.

Great location, with a beach on one side and park on the other. Not a view unit because it’s on a lower floor, but the building has its own patio and a lounging lawn next to the water. Really well-appointed inside, like-new everything, obviously an owner who cares about her guests.

Safety Issues
There are serious safety issues at the property, particularly for seniors. The bath tub should have a mat to prevent slipping. The kitchen cabinets are old and broken. They do not close properly. They slide open are a source of injury. The living room rug is also slippery and a source for potential injury. This property should indicate that it is not safe for seniors.

It was a wonderful and welcomed surprise to arrive at the condo and everything was exactly as both pictured and described. Donna has thought of everything to make your stay perfect. I love the location and this is why I return time and time again. Her communication is responsive and direct. The only issues I had were VRBO site related and no fault of hers.

Perfect rental
We have stayed at DHBHR several times and this was pur favorite unit. It is larger than the penthouse equivalent. The furnishing is modern and tasteful. It was quiet. The AC worked great. If you are not familiar with the location, it is a short walk to the downtown shopping area, but is away from the noise. Right out front is Publics, a well known South Shore surf location. I paddled out every morning snd lived coming bsck to a quick rinse off/shower and quick elevator ride to the unit.

Beautiful Place
The condo is perfect - very clean, well equipped and attractive. I was a little disappointed that there wasn’t a view, but if I’d looked closer at the photos I’d have known. But there are two great sitting areas in the front of the building with the ocean (and gorgeous sunsets) right there The owner was very responsive. The entry key was very easy to access. I liked the coded condo door. And I loved the location. The park across the street is great, beach easy to walk to - practically next door. And it’s quiet and pleasant to be out of the hubbub of Waikiki, although you can be in it - Short walk. We didn’t have trouble with parking - the meters are very inexpensive and if you park at the top of the park there are some free spaces.

Comfortable and Clean Diamond Head Condo!
As the saying goes, "Location, location, location' and this one can't be beat. It was a 5-minute walk to our favorite beach to either start or end the day and it was always beautiful. The condo itself is very comfortable with nice amenities - at the top of the list is the comfy bed and a/c. We appreciated, too, having the well-appointed kitchen (even though we ended up not cooking). Note there is construction next door but it did not affect us at all. We're already looking forward to our next trip home and next stay at this condo. Aloha.

Living the Local Life
We had a great stay at this one bedroom apartment. It was great to live as a local. From the moment we arrived we realized how convenient the place would be. Getting into the apt. was easy. The apartment had all the amenities we needed including nice beach towels and full kitchen. It was very clean and well kept. The bathroom was great with lots of towel racks. Our bedroom was very spacious and closet and drawer space was abundant. Our family of four was very comfortable. We spent our evenings on the patio downstairs to watch the sunset and have happy hour (no view from the room). It was a great way to unwind. Parking for the most part was pretty easy and affordable. Just on day on the weekend we had trouble finding parking because the park was full but we eventually found something. Otherwise the rest of the time we parked right across the street with a short walk pass a lovely fountain. Just bring quarters with you so you have them on hand. One problem we had (which had more to do with the building and not the owner's apt.) was that 3 of the 4 washing machines were out of order but on the plus side, when they were working, they took credit cards. This was a great location since we were going to both Waikiki and Diamond Head Beach. Thank you Donna for sharing the local life with us.

Perfect
My wife and I had to travel to Hawaii on short notice, and since we had stayed at DHBH before, this was our first choice. We selected unit 402 because of the kitchen, and we weren't disappointed. This is a very nice little condo. In addition to the well-equipped kitchen, the condo has a luxury shower in the nicely decorated bathroom. We enjoyed the owner's timely communication is the leasing process and the welcome. The only hiccup was arranging parking through the Diamond Head Beach Hotel folks. If you want to park in the basement garage (and we did), we had to arrange parking separately. Mark Howard (the manager) stepped in personally to provide us with a garage opener about 40 minutes after our arrival---and we had already unpacked our car. We thoroughly enjoyed our visit, and have discussed buying a unit in this building. The location is perfectly placed for our needs. Strongly recommended.

Great spot for a Hawaiian getaway
We had a great stay for 7 nights in the condo at Diamond Head. Donna did a great job making us feel welcome with a handwritten card, flowers and pineapple. The condo is a good size for 2 people. The double sized bed is comfortable. The bathroom is clean and the shower was very nice. The kitchen had all the utensils I needed to cook breakfasts and a few dinners. There is plenty of space to spread out and relax in the living room/dining room area. In the front of the building is a great little garden with lounge chairs overlooking the ocean. The sun in the afternoon is perfect and the sunsets are amazing!!! It’s a great spot to have an adult beverage and let the day pass by. We spent many hours out there. The walk into Waikiki is very enjoyable and only takes 10-15 minutes depending on how fast you want to get there. The only reason this place gets 4 stars is that the lanai is tiny (barely room for 2 chairs) and the view is into an adjacent building. Overall, I’d recommend the condo as a great, affordable spot for a Hawaiian getaway.

Fantastic property!!!
This is an amazing property in a perfect location within walking distance to Waikiki shops, restaurants and beaches. Upon arrival we immediately noticed how this unit was incredibly well kept and very clean. Usually not a fan of queen beds, or beds on the softer side, but this bed was fantastic! We had wonderful nights of sleep with the sliding glass doors open listening to the ocean waves. Every night we enjoyed beautiful sunsets from the seating area behind the building. Happy to give this property a five star rating.

Perfect Home Away from Home
My husband, son and I enjoyed a wonderful 2-week stay at this lovely Diamond Head property. Donna's apartment is immaculately clean with a beautifully tasteful decor and very well equipped kitchen and bathroom. Both the living/dining area and bedroom are spacious with quality bed linens, towels and robes provided. The apartment complex is quite and secure with a swimming beach, the Aquarium and Zoo just a short walk and the Waikiki strip 1 kilometre away. The bus stop in front of the property is a real bonus! We each bought a $60 ticket for TheBus which we frequently used for travel around both the city and island. The supermarket is easily accessible on the #14 bus and the #19 to Ala Moana shopping centre. In summary, this apartment was the perfect home away from home for my family and an absolute pleasure to return to at the each day. Thank you for providing such lovely accommodation.

A wonderful birthday week!
My husband and I celebrated our 50th birthdays with a week in Oahu! Donna's Condo was perfect! Donna communicated with us about every detail. We walked in the door and we were greeted with fresh banana's and pineapple and a sweet note from Donna and beautiful flowers. The condo was perfectly clean and well stocked. We enjoyed coffee overlooking the ocean which was just steps away from our door. We walked to town everyday! We didn't cook, but the kitchen was set up for cooking. We rented a car and just parked on the street. I can not find anything to complain about! We recommend renting from Donna! What a blessed time we had!

Beautiful and very comfortable condo.
My husband and I stayed for two weeks. I loved this condo. I looked at a couple units when we arrived and let me tell you this condo is by far the best one in. Donna was very helpful and always contacted me back with any and all of my questions and concerns. She has remodeled this condo and it is extremely nice and very comfortable. Bed was really comfy. The bathroom is very nice. Donna left beautiful flowers from her own garden and a very delicious pineapple. Unit is within walking distance to Waikiki. It is about a 15 minute walk. There is a very nice restaurant about a 5 minute walk and the food is fabulous its called Hau Tree Lanai and is located at 2863 Kalakaua Ave. I would definently recommend renting this to anyone. Donna sent me back my deposit fast. I will definently stay again when I go back to Ohau. Thank You Donna!!!
