Hurricane Beryl came through and this hotel was one of the few they didn’t have a generator. No electricity, no lights, no A/C, no water. Comically bad

I didnt get to stay in the room because they had no electricity and I have a small child that needed a place to lay her head because we were going through Hurricane Beryl. I think it would have been appropriate to let us know the lights were out before we booked or at least a refund if we never checked in.

I was lucky to get a room during the Houston Outage caused by Beryl. Super nice staff and very understanding about my situation. I had 2 parakeets in a cage and they were so kind, didn’t charge a fee unlike other places. Definitely Pet friendly. And super clean!!! The cleaning staff deserves an applause. WiFi worked great, many eating options a few feet away. Felt very safe at this location.

The Hampton Inn lacked a generator, so the power, water, and all services went away during Hurricane Beryl. That was fine for half a day, but by day two we were upset to see that we were charged more for the second night despite the lack of amenities. The saving grace for this hotel is its dedicated staff, particularly Sandra, who worked tirelessly to make our uncomfortable time more bearable.
