Hotel with character.
A fairly easy place to stay. A older hotel but still in good repair.
The staff is the best and will definitely brighten your day.
The down side would be the internet. It is not so cheerful as the staff, sometimes up sometimes down.
The staff were very friendly and ready to help.
Very clean room ,good wifi, and close to many restraunts .
I would recommend this hotel for a comfortable and pleasant stay.
Breakfast of half boiled eggs were not satisfied. The light of the bathroom (Room No 403) is too dark.

Construction
Unfortunately there was major construction being done ,noise from 7 -5pm.the lady at the front desk just said she was sorry, and tried to put the matter aside.
After much conversation I told them I wished a refund on my next 2 days,as I had pre booked 3 days ,fininally I was given a refund .
The hotel is very clean and nice room ..
Located conveniently. Small but adequate room. Nice old wooden furnishings in good condition. room had a small bath tub - nice to soak your feet after a long day of walking! Lots go good places to eat next door and near by. Quiet, restful. It was nothing really special, but all that I really needed.
They advertise free tea and coffee 24/7, but staff seemed surprised and a little reluctant when I asked for it.
As soon as I arrived thye attempted to sell me a larger more expensive room, which I declined as I had no need for a bigger room for just one person.
Very good value for money. Location good, staff friendly and helpful (mention must be made of D'ai and Ms. Tu) room clean and breakfast good. Elevator an added bonus! Would gladly recommend the Sunrise to anyone travelling on a budget
Had a great stay at the Sunrise Hotel. Very good value for money. Rooms were spotless. Speedy lift. Excellent location with restaurants/shopping nearby but away from the larger backpacker's centre. Staff were exceedingly helpful (not pushy with tours etc). Mention must be made of D'ai and Ms. Tu who had great attitudes - were very friendly and did all they could to assist you. Breakfast was also good - just check more boxes if you're not satisfied the first time + more coffee will come in good time. Was a very pleasant stay and would make no hesitation in recommending it highly.
Good budget hotel.
Comfy rooms, clean.
The lady receptionist was lovely and so happy it was a real change from the grumpy staff on the 13 hour trip up.
Great place to eat round the corner mandarin cafe.
Don't go here!
Room was dirty with stains on the sheets and the aircon didn't work.
The room had a wierd damp smell and the first night there was a cockroach.
When checking out the lobbyist accused my girlfriend of stealing because the cleaning lady had taken a small thing from the room (hotels own) - which she admitted.
I would never recommend This bad hotel to anyone

Great location with very attentive staff
A very home-like hotel stay, and just the essentials within the room. Charming finishings, though not modern by any stretch. The staff are great, and are even willing to take you on motorbike tours themselves!
Fine for a solo traveller, with an excellent ,ocation and great value for money. I had the cheapest room, but it was very small. So if more than one traveller, you might be better paying a few extra dong for a larger room.

Great value hotel close to everything.
Basic hotel room but was quiet, comfortable, had everything and it worked fine. Walking distance to waterfront and plenty of places to dine or drink nearby. Staff very helpful in arranging tour services at short notice.
Stay was great. Staff were great. Pool looked nice (but it was rainy when we were there so we didn't get a chance). Close to the action but not in a very nice spot.

Eat out but otherwise ok!
Staff were welcoming and room was clean! After reading other reviews i decided against eating here! However "Cafe on Tue Wheels" in the ally right behind does excellent breakfast and sorted out some good tours. The Indian Restruant next door was also the best Indian Ive had in Vietnam!

Basic hotel with good location
Hotel was ok. Breakfast very simple and not great. I suggest paying for the room only and going for breakfast at Family Home restaurant which is in the alley next to the hotel and has massive portions for around 30-40,000 dong! The receptionist 'Two' was a lovely girl and very friendly when we arrives, she made us feel welcome. However when we had more complex problems we needed help with she was limited with what she could do for us.
On arrival we were told we had a free upgrade however the room was what I would call standard. Clean and tidy and the air conditioner worked.
Location was great! Easy walk to Imperial city and bar/restaurant areas and next door to the best Indian restaurant we have eaten at so far! If you feel like a curry I highly recommend!
Everything was very good. After getting off the 5 hour sleeper train from Hoi An I was immediately greeted by the friendliest receptionist I've ever met outside the hotel as soon as she saw the cab arrive. I was blown away by this especially after my very draining tiresome ride. I was then given a blended watermelon shake which was very refreshing given the weather, climate and 5 hour ride I had. This was the only hotel during my 2 weeks i Vietnam that gave this on arrival which is surprising given many people on TripAdvisor state this is common is most if not all accommodations. Staff were always very helpful and kind providing maps and advice on most things including how much fares should cost and planning out my days to see which attractions.
The room was quite good for the hotel rating with a large bed and sizeable room. It did have a comically low chair.
The only 2 flaws i noted was the room was very noisy throughout the night and most of the day which was very annoying. There was a vent in the bathroom which really let noise in. This should be reinforced to be soundproof and should be able to be closed. The windows should also be double glazed. Secondly they didn't provide soap and there was no shower curtain to prevent the floor or toilet getting wet and dirty. Surprising that a hotel doesn't provide soap. Shampoo and conditioner were provided though. The water pressure and spray of the shower head could have been a bit better but what hotel ever gets this right?
The hotel was clean and the location was excellent as it was closest to everything. It was away from tbe city being just below the southeast bridge. There is a major attraction near here and it is within walking distance from the citadel/imperial city. Being south of the main section of the city also means it is closer overall to the 7 different located tombs which are spread out 360 degrees around the hotel's location and most are south of the cbd/citadel.
Lastly the restaurant/hotel food was quite good. I really loved the Hazelnut cappuccino. I don't usually like cappuccinos but this was incredibly good. Being Australian we are coffee snobs and I was very surprised at the quality of coffee in Vietnam including at Binh Minh Hotel. You could really smell the hazelnut and taste the blend of the coffee beans beautifully combined with the hazelnut to give a smooth and rich flavour. Hence the coffee itself was extremely smooth. The omelette with bread was good but too oily. The pineapple pancake tastes exactly like a specific chinese sweet but sweeter and with a pineapple flavouring. It is essentially a pancake that was covered with a beautiful soft coating of fried pineapple jelly.
