Loved this place! Clean, comfortable, amazing view. A great space. Hosts were amazing and gave us everything we needed. Nice 15 minute walk into Hvar Town. Would absolutely recommend and stay here again.

Great place in Hvar.
J & B was a perfect place for our 5 day stay in Hvar. The property was in a good location with beautiful costal views. The old town hvar was only a small stroll away using the costal walk all the way into town. The pool at the property was a great way to cool down on a hot day and the hosts were amazing. They were very friendly and helpful. I Would definitely consider returning and would recommend to friends. The apartment was well furnished and very comfortable.

Apartment was great, separate bedroom to the kitchen and sitting room which was good. The balcony had brilliant views but only got the sun until about 1pm. It’s about a 15min walk into Hvar Town and only 5mins from Hula Hula bar and beaches. Lots of steps and uphill walking coming back but that is the same everywhere in Hvar. Although it says there is a pool, there are only two sun loungers and it’s directly in front of where the family live (Mum, Dad, Daughter and Granddaughter). They are all very welcoming but family life is going on around the pool so don’t expect a quiet poolside situation. The hosts have lots of useful recommendations of restaurants and which islands to visit and can arrange taxis etc. We arrived late, landing at 9pm in Split. Expedia sold us this package not being aware that the last boat to Hvar is at 8pm. It took a lot of back and forth with Expedia and J&B to get them to understand that we had no way of getting to the island (although J&B offered a private boat transfer for over 300EUROS). So just be aware that 24hr transfers are not really offered. J&B sorted us a room in Spit for the night which was great but Expedia were very unhelpful and haven’t refunded us the nights accommodation that we lost. Overall it’s a great location, great apartment and very friendly and helpful host.

Amazing views off the bedroom balcony, location great, close but not too close to all the people. Host was amazing, she went out of her way to help us. Place was very roomy and had everything you would need. Can’t wait to go back!

Great host with a wonderful property with an unbeatable view. Very short walk to the water and a semi secluded water to swim in. Minor cons with the up and down walk into town (15ish minutes). Go amount of uphill and stairs if you are walking with luggage.

Couple stay
We booked the apartment at the last minute and we arrived the appointment was ready. Our stay at the property was very comfortable and if there were any small queries it was good to know that the owners were on site to help. We were given a lift to the port by the owner which really helpful. It may useful to notice that there is a steep walk up from the sea and you need reasonable fitness.

Nice room with an excellent view.
Stayed for 3 nights, was a good experience. Had the room at the very top and had an excellent view over the ocean. Quite a distance from centre with hills to climb so wouldn't be suitable for some.

Beautiful outlook and staff always there to help
Great trip to a beautiful island. Poma at J&B Holiday Home did everything we needed including arranging transfers, catamaran tickets and even taking us in her own car to another resort for the day. The accommodation we had was 1 bedroom self catering apartment and as we travelled with our 18 month old son it was really useful to have fridge and cooking facilities etc. my wife and I were really impressed with the overall cleanliness of the apartment. Pool is an added bonus as not many places we looked at had one. Like most places in Hvar there are many steps to reach the accommodation so if this is not your thing do think carefully before booking. In hindsight although we loved Hvar it was very difficult travelling with a pushchair!

Nice, quiet apartment with great view!
Very nice stay! The apartment was simple, quiet, clean and comfortable with air conditioning and wonderful view from the balcony. It's nicer than the pictures show. The pool was nice with four lounge chairs. The family that runs the place were very nice and service-minded. The location was perfect for us - close to beaches but a bit distance from the island party scene (15-20 min walk to the city center).

Upgraded to a 2 bedroom flat which was very well kitted out. Very clean and fresh with modern furniture and fittings. Wooden and tiled floors throughout with well equipped kitchen including a washing machine. Good shower and well fitted bathroom. Good wifi in the apartment. Lovely pool, perfect for a cooling dip. It's a good size and a welcome facility. Lovely balcony overlooking the islands and sea, perfect for enjoying an evening drink or breakfast in the morning.The location is about a 20 minute walk from Hvar town but it's a pleasant walk along the sea side with only the last part being up several flights of steps. Maybe not the best choice for those who have walking difficulties but for reasonable fit people it's fine. Nice restaurant on the same street at No 17 and a supermarket 5 minutes away.,

Great view and location
It is hard to beat five breakfasts at your own table under the lemon tree next to the fig tree. Kind and helpful owners. A fifteen minute walk to downtown Hvar, 30 minutes on the pedestrian walk along the beautiful coast. Only drawback, only two Italian stations on the TV during the world cup!

Wonderful Island, great place to stay
although a bit of a hike back uphill from the town, it is not too bad if you are semi fit. Franco came and collected us from the ferry port and we got a taxi back when leaving. A lovely place to stay though with great views, nice and quiet and good facilities. The family are very friendly and helpful. I would certainly recommend it if you are planning to stay in Hvar

We stayed at JB only for 2 nights but had a really great experience. The flat is really new, with all the comfort anyone can get and location is very good, Only 15 min walk from the main square, close to beach and a beautiful view of the sea.

Great hosts, great view and outdoor terrace. Four of us stayed 3 nights and loved Hvar. Hosts were very welcoming and organised boat hire for us even supplying esky with ice packs so we could pack lunch and drinks. All up a great stay, area's for improvement would be having a fixed shower head rather than hand held only other than that highly recommended

I visited Hvar with my family, 2 adults and 3 grown children. We stayed in the 3 bedroom apartment. It was clean, comfortable and every room had a beautiful view of the Adriatic Sea. We also enjoyed a dinner cooked by the owner which included vegetables grown in his garden. This apartment was close to an area to swim as well as a small market. The town of Hvar was within walking distance, but it was a good walk with many hills/steps, but that is the nature of the island. We also found the owners to be very helpful with plans for day trips. Would absolutely stay here again.

Lovely family-managed property with spectacular views of water and surrounding islands. A long-ish walk to the main part of town, but nice for a quiet get-away. Plenty of space and very clean.

The owners were a lovely family. The apartment was large and exceptionally well appointed. The balcony, with a view of the ocean, was a nice place to enjoy a meal. There was a bit of a walk to town (15-20 min) - just enough to work off the gelato. We highly recommend the apartment. We enjoyed our stay.

An apartment with welcoming hosts and a great view
We had a wonderful experience. The owners met us at the ferry and drove us to their place. They also delivered us to the ferry for our return trip to Split. We were upgraded and had an apartment with a stunning view of the outlaying islands. J&B Holiday House is about a twenty minutes walk to the centre of town through a beautiful neighbourhood and pedestrian only narrow streets of the old town. Hvar is situated on the side of the hills, so has lots of stairs. Our apartment was fully equipped so you could eat in or go out .

Over and above what we expected!
We had a wonderful stay at the J & B Holiday House. The apartment was spacious, clean and had lovely views. The host was very kind to pick us up from the ferry terminal, drop us off at the castle (to save us the walk) and take us to Stari Grad for the early morning ferry. As well as sharing a glass or two of wine with us. The apartment is a little out of town (although walkable) but right above a lovely beach which we spent most of our time on. There is also a supermarket two minutes away as well as a diving centre. We would highly recommend this to anyone who wishes a chilled and relaxed time in Hvar!
