Handcrafted Log Cabin On Island Park Reservoir With Beautiful Views & Hot Tub!

This beautiful, secluded cabin, dubbed the "Treehouse", is located on an elevated lot in the gated Centennial Shores community. It boasts expansive views of Island Park Reservoir, forested hills, historic Trude Ranch Property, and the majestic Centennial Mountains. You can enjoy this view from the cabin's wrap-around deck, crafted with unique old-growth cedar posts and railings. A short walk of about 5min, or a 1min drive from the Treehouse, will get you to a sandy beach area on the reservoir for fishing, swimming, and other water sports. Also available to you are 2 boat launching ramps with docks, and a large, grassy park to the east.

Inside this unique cabin you will immediately notice its beautiful craftsmanship and be welcomed by cedar tongue and groove ceilings, high log trusses and beams, a cozy great room with a gas fireplace, a 22 ft high window wall, and stair posts and railings of large old-growth cedar.

The kitchen is fully equipped with stainless steel appliances, including a 48" commercial-style gas cook-top, a large island, and beautiful granite countertops. The Treehouse contains 5 queen-sized, handcrafted, large log beds, with a hide-a-bed in the loft area. The Master Suite, located on the main floor, is carpeted and has an electric fireplace. The on-suite bath is tiled in natural stone, with an air tub and shower. French doors offer private access to the deck area. The second floor, fully carpeted, contains 2 large bedrooms with french doors opening to balconies, an open loft area, and stone tiled bathroom.

Bring your own toys or rent from one of the locally owned businesses in Island Park. We suggest:

www.highmountainadventures.com

We can provide links to the snowmobile trail map, grooming report, and winter rec info if requested.

Note to winter renters:
The cabin driveway is plowed out regularly in winter months, however in the event of a snowstorm during your stay, we suggest guests unload their equipment at the cabin and park trailers at the Kilgore-Yale and Old Shotgun Rd intersection. We also highly suggest that guests staying in the winter come up in a 4-wheel drive vehicle. Winter weather can be unpredictable in Island Park, and without 4-wheel drive, you may find yourself stuck until a snowplow can get back out to the area.

Also, a note to ATV/Snowmobile riders that recreational vehicles are required to be on the designated trails and never on personal property. The HOA at Centennial Shores will fine property owners if renters ride off trail or use un-built cabin lots as their riding destination. If a violation is reported, renters will be charged a $75 daily fine for each incidence.

Note to summer/fall rentals:
We are on a reservoir so water levels will start dipping in late July due to irrigation and current drought conditions. Usually this does not hinder water recreation such as boating, fishing, swimming, etc, but if you are concerned, please contact us to check the current water levels.

Also note, our cabin is not equipped with A/C. It is uncommon for properties in Island Park to have A/C, and it generally is not needed, even in the summer months.

This is a non-smoking, pet free cabin. We are also under a county ordinance for short term rentals and ask that our guests please stay in compliance for their safety and health; we ask that you stay within our occupancy limits, read the burn ordinances and please be neighborly.

Check in: 4:00pm - Check out: 11:00am
(Please contact owner if need early or late check-in or departure and we will do our best to accommodate your request).

During your stay at this cabin, you're just a quick walk from Caribou-Targhee National Forest. You'll find features such as 1 hot tub. The cabin offers free WiFi and in-room jetted baths.

A few suggestions
Night stands with lamps in rooms would have been nice. Also a couple of box fans for the not so cool nights. And the shoes off requirements was a bit extreme. Overall we enjoyed our stay. Just pack a small fan and bring a lamp ☺️

Christmas vacation
BEST Christmas vacation! This cabin was the perfect setting for celebrating Christmas with our family. We loved our stay at the treehouse and highly recommend the experience inside and out. Beautifully crafted cabin that was well maintained and comfortable. Island Park itself is a destination location to experience. Snowmobiling and sledding in deep power was a blast! Yellowstone NP in the winter is a bucket list type experience. The treehouse is a perfect base camp to explore all its surrounding Beauty. The memories will last a life time. Thank you for sharing.

Outstanding Stay!
We loved our stay at the Treehouse! We found a beautiful, well maintained, and comfortable home that welcomed our family on our first trip out west. Although it coincide with a partial closure of Yellowstone due to flooding, the gorgeous area in which this home is located provided plenty of vistas and wildlife to enjoy. We would highly recommend this home to others and hope to get a chance to return to it on a future trip out west.

The Perfect Place for the Perfect Family Vacation
We were thrilled with our rental experience. Our stay was absolutely perfect. The cabin is just as described and was even better in person. The owners provided everything to help create a wonderful vacation for our family from the well-stocked kitchen, variety of water toys, comfortable beds, really clean and immaculate cabin, and communication from the owner. The location in Island Park was perfect. Close enough to visit West Yellowstone, hike some beautiful trails, enjoy the local restaurants, and to play on the lake--and yet tucked away enough to experience the quiet we were hoping for. We are so grateful we chose to rent this cabin and hope to return again with our children and grandchildren very soon. Thank you for sharing your beautiful home with us.

Blissful place!
Beautiful views! Mountains, prairie, lake! We loved the house and staying there. There were no matches to start the fire in fire pit. Also there was no paddle board as listed. Unfortunately we were not able to utilize the lake there as we did not have a vehicle to transport the kayaks to the water. Suggest leaving a lighter and having a wheeled kayak transporter available. Also some box fans for bedrooms when temps are warmer than usual. We were decently comfortable with the windows open though. Beds were comfy and the kitchen well stocked !

Family Vacation
This house was perfect for ourseleves, 2 adult children with their families. We rentedbthis house due to the proximity to Yellowstone's west entrance, but unfortunately mother nature caused flooding and the park was closed. However, there are so many sight seeing, hiking and adventure opportunities in the area we all managed to have a wonderful time. The house is very well equipped with everything you might need! Would definitely rent this house again.

BEAUTIFUL HOME AND VIEWS
House was just as described. Home and views are lovely. We very much enjoyed everything about the property. It was a bit more of a drive to this location (on dirt roads) than I anticipated, but that was on me for not researching better. It was still a bit too cool and rainy to really enjoy the water during our visit. I imagine it would be perfect in July.

5 Star Property
Just a wonderful home! We finished our 5 weeks trip that started in Colorado. In the 5 homes we rented, this one stood out the most. From the lake views, remote vibes to the modern kitchen, this property was a great end to the vacation. W Yellowstone is 35-40 minutes away and our off days from the park we rented side by sides from Island Park Adventures. The area has so much to offer!!

Yellowstone/Grand Teton vacation
We rented the Treehouse for a week in early July; there were 7 of us ranging in age from 12 to 75 years of age. We had never been to the area and wanted a centrally located home and the reviews for this home were incredible. The Treehouse was very clean and plenty of space for our family. The pictures for the inside of the cabin are very accurate and it is lovely. I have actually never written a review on a home before, but I feel like the accuracy of this listing needs updated. The pictures imply that the lake is very close to the home which is not the case; we had to drive the rafts and kayaks because it was too far to carry them. This is not a short walk if you forget something in the cabin. The cabin is not as close to everything as the listing implies. With traffic and the winding roads, Centennial Shores is a very secluded community that is not easy to get to. The last piece of information I think is not portrayed accurately is the lack of air conditioning in the cabin. I cannot find anywhere in the listing that it says there is no a/c. I actually had passed on other cabins because they did not have a/c. Needless to say it was very difficult to sleep at night as it was hot and the beds are directly in front of the windows you have to open to get air in. Couple that with the plastic wrap in lieu of mattress pads on the upstairs beds and the sleeping arrangements left a lot to be desired. The Treehouse is a lovely home and probably perfect for some families, but I feel like the accuracy of the listing needs updated.

Wonderful Stay!
Our family of 6 thoroughly enjoyed our time here ! Off the beaten path but very much worth it after long days spent in Yellowstone. The views from the back of the house were breathtaking and we enjoyed sunset evenings and nights by the fires every night. To be able to see land and mountains as far as the eye can see, was the cherry ok too for me. Incredible privacy! The house was immaculate, all as described. Actually, the house itself was far more beautiful than the pictures I’m the listing. We had length of space for us and our 4 kids. Comfy rooms and beds, everything you need in the kitchen . We loved our stay here, thank you for letting us stay your place!
