This was a wonderful choice! The hotel is new and very clean, wonderful staff and the breakfast buffet is without rival. Plus, the location is close to so many restaurants and historic venues that it is hard to beat.

I loved the hotel. Our host Halit did everything in his hands to insure our short trip to be filled with sight seeing, shopping and relaxation. Everything was just perfect: 1)Location is great. Few min walk from historical places, shopping zone, restaurants. 2)Breakfast is just how I like it, simple: salads, fruits, oatmeal, even raw honey. Loved it all. 3)Rooms are shiny clean. 4) 24/7 room service with any question I have or help I need with reservations, transportations u name it. Thank you all for making my short trip easy, relaxing and convenient.

I loved staying in this hotel. I stayed in two different hotels in the same area around the same time, this being one. Frankly, I wish I had stayed in this hotel both times. I am a gold member at Expedia, and this hotel upgraded my room automatically, without even having to ask. The rooms were very clean, the staff very friendly and helpful, and the breakfast was absolutely awesome. Compared to the other hotels around the Sultanahmet area, I highly recommend this hotel because for the same price, you get a lot more bang for your buck. If I visit Istanbul again, I will have no problem rebooking at this hotel without a thought.

Very helpful and friendly staff all around. Rooms are always clean. Facilities are very new or recently updated. But the real highlight is the location. 5 minutes walk from everything: the grand Bazaar, the spice Bazzar, the blue mosque, Aya Sophia, Basilica, etc. Tram station 2 minutes away which can take you all over Istanbul. I’m definitely going back to the same hotel for my next visit to Istanbul.

The hotel's location is amazing. Short walking distance from all major tourist attractions. The breakfast buffet is superb, everything is delicious! We stayed at Carina Gold Hotel. We had 2 rooms for 8 people. Room 109 & 309 We were greeted by reception staff with the most welcoming smiles. Halil was so funny and gave us so much information about how we could spend our time in Istanbul. Staff took us to our rooms and signed us into hotel WI-FI, which was a nice touch. In the morning, Halil was kind enough to give us a IstanbulKart to use during our stay. One card could be used for 8 of us. This was very much appreciated by us all. Breakfast was lovely with a nice variety of items, if you would like omelette, you just need to ask staff who will happily provide this. The hotel was very clean and room cleaning was done everyday, staff smiling always. Location of hotel is perfect, near Tram line T1 (Cemberlitas) 2 min walk. 5 min walk to Grand Bazaar 5 min walk to Blue mosque and Hagia Sofia Mosque Fast food restaurant, good for kids. On our last day, we were able to keep 1 room with late check out 8pm at a small fee. On our last day, our taxi was running late. Enis Atis came up to me and requested I call taxi firm and he would speak in Turkish and ensured there was no language barriers. This helped ease my anxiety. He then helped our group of 8 to get all luggages onto the taxi. Carina staff went above and beyond, we are so grateful to everyone at this amazing hotel. InshaAllah we will soon be back.

Excellent area. Very close to everything, walking distance to all the major attractions. I found the hotel to be very clean and comfortable. When researching hotels for my visit, I narrowed it down to 4 hotels in approximately the same area. I am VERY glad I chose this one as the others did not match the description in person. I would highly recommend this hotel.
