It’s quaint and centrally located for activities in the White Mountains. We stayed in a suite which was very spacious, but the amenities were dated. The Shovel Handle Pub next door had good food and acoustic music.
It’s a bummer there was a water issue going on so even the restaurant next door that I wanted to go to was closed due to that. Also, the checkout was a bit confusing if you were leaving before staff was available. Cute place and all but just an instance of an OK experience.
This is an older property, so the floorboards creak, the hallways are narrow, and the stairways are a little steep. That's exactly the sort of place we were after.

Disliked: Cleanliness, amenities
The area around Whitney’s is beautiful. The room we had smelled overwhelmingly of bleach.. which made me check the actual cleanliness of the room. The floors were unswept, the toilet was visibly soiled around the inner rim as well as under the seat. It takes approximately 10 minutes to get hot water. Depending on your room, you will get a windowed door - which allows the light of the very brilliant lamps by every door to flood in as you try to sleep - which is unpleasant considering one has gone up a mountain to try and escape ambient light pollution. We got to experience the installation of a door while we were there - the noise would have been fine if the front desk clerk wasn’t outside yelling at the crew to hurry up and stop making a mess. All and all, I would stay at the Whitney again if there were no other options.. 2.5/5
Just wonderful. Greeted immediately, and friendly. This place is immaculate! The room was very nice and cozy. We ate at the attached restaurant and the food and service was beyond compare.
We will stay again when we are up that way.

Liked: Staff & service
OK option for early October, two nights stay.
Nice restaurant in a beautifuly renovated barn for dinner, but for breakfast (and for gym) - you need to drive to another hotel nearby.
Need improvement with TV & wifi (we didnt TV or wifi for a whole day) and if you are 3 in the room - find yourself another place.. Sofa bed is just not comfortable.
The area view on the way are stunning and the property was picturesque. There’s a pub next door (unfortunately it was closed the evening we stayed for a private party) If we get back to the area, we will definitely stay there again
Rustic, quaint Inn in a beautiful country setting. It is an old farmhouse and farm with all the quirks that come with that. The pub restaurant had rustic charm, good food and great live music. The staff was outstanding. Friendly and very helpful. The cable TV went out the last half of our stay, but that actually ended up being a positive.
This is a beautiful property located in a wonderful area for hiking and enjoying the outdoors. Onsite restaurant was wonderful!

We booked online for a deluxe room, and we're given Petite rooms. Then when we asked they said they do not have deluxe rooms.
No amenities were available, no breakfast onsite, no coffee available.
Staff was friendly, but the location doesn't offer the things you would expect at a quaint hotel.
What a beautiful inn! The front desk staff were so friendly - loved the little pre-made s'mores package and they even got the fire going for us. It is an old building so expect steep stairs and creaky floors but it is really well-maintained and beautiful. Would definitely stay again.
I booked a room here for my son who is hiking Mount Washington the next day and he said the bed was comfortable in the room was huge and it was honestly a great value!
