Wonderful stay
Location was great, just off the main road that runs through Big Canoe so it has quick access to all of the amenities. Gary, the owner, was very responsive and helpful with the check in process. We had a great stay, and the home was well-appointed with everything we needed for cooking and enjoying some quality family time. Will be staying here again!

Amazing! No detail forgotten!
Our family of 5 + 1 infant had the most wonderful stay in Doodle’s Den! We would definitely return for another visit! The house was beautiful with every detail down to phone chargers in the rooms! We loved how close we were to playground park and spent most afternoons there walking the gravel track and hiking to the wellness center. Our son-in-law played 18 holes of golf and said the course was pristine for the winter weather! We cooked almost every meal in the kitchen as both of our girls have gluten allergies. The kitchen was equipped with everything we needed and the double oven made it seamless. Watched Clemson beat Kentucky on their large screen tv and even had snow flurries on our last day!

Wonderful long family weekend!
My husband and I just had a wonderfully relaxing family vacation this weekend! The house is in a great location with easy access to all Big Canoe offers. We played golf, enjoyed the swim lake and family hikes. Gary, the property manager, answered all of my questions and followed up during the visit to ensure everything was going well. It was a great trip!

Very beautiful property located near most of the amenities. We have gone to Big Canoe since the 90's as a family and loved how close this house was to the amenities, about a 1-2 minute drive. They have so many personal touches and provided everything needed to enjoy our stay! We will definitely be back in the future!

Doodle's Den Family Vacation
Doodle’s Den was just the right size for our family of six. The beds were comfortable, the house was clean, and the kitchen was stocked with everything we needed to cook our own meals. The bathroom in the master bedroom had just been remodeled and was awesome! We had everything we needed to feel at home. Check-in couldn't have been easier and Gary was quick to respond to any questions we had. Big Canoe was one of the nicest places we’ve visited. There were so many different things to do within the park that we didn’t have time to do them all. We took the kids to the playground, swam at the water park, visited the wildlife preserve, and hiked some of the many trails. Our favorite adventure was at the marina. We rented a pontoon boat for a couple of hours and thoroughly enjoyed our trip. The boat was awesome and the sunset was beautiful! One thing we noticed was that wherever we went inside the park the people were so friendly and helpful. We would love to come back again.

Memorial Day Getaway
We had a great time in this quiet mountain home. The pictures are spot on and the newly renovated primary bathroom is fantastic. We appreciated the fully stocked kitchen and the little details of having soaps and shampoos provided in the bathrooms. Communication with the owner was easy and Gary was super responsive. He checked in before, during, and after our trip to make sure everything was going smoothly. Highly recommend!

Wonderful House in the Mountains!
I want to begin by saying that from before we rented the property until the day we checked out the communication with Gary was outstanding! We thoroughly enjoyed our time in Big Canoe and we loved the house! Every room had everything we needed and more! We had the perfect amount of space to prepare Thanksgiving Dinner with all the fixings - so grateful for the double oven - and to be able to enjoy the atmosphere of dining and having the lovely fireplace going. Gary is the most gracious host! This house is perfect for a large family, more than we needed for three us us! Our 13 year old was thrilled to have the entire downstairs to herself! Thanks so much, Gary!

Fun Family Reunion in Big Canoe
We enjoyed our stay in Doodles Den. Owners had emailed locale of closest grocery store so we were able to find all the ingredients for a family favorite! Their large open floor plan, well equipped kitchen w/island & big dining table gave us lots of room. Love the decor! The downstairs 2)huge bedrooms, 2) baths & living room were perfect for a separate space for families. Beds were so comfy w/nice linens - we all slept like babies! Thanks to Gary & Sherry for all the little extras
