This is ground floor unit Konea 103 at Honua Kai. After the devastating Lahaina fires, Maui has officially re-opened and is welcoming visitors back. This is unit is ground floor with added easy in/out from the lanai (keyed). No need to walk through the hotel hallways / corridors, or use an elevator to a higher floor location. Our unit also features its own dedicated ventilation and AC system and air is NOT circulated/shared with other units and common places.

ABOUT THIS UNIT. Located on the GROUND floor in the interior courtyard of the Konea tower at Honua Kai Resort & Spa is this two (2) bedroom, two (2) bathroom luxury condo. This unit is one of only a handful of ground floor units at Honua Kai with a partial ocean view and is located very close to the pools and beach. Just walk out of the lanai to enjoy! (please see our room layout photo for the location of our condo).

Honua Kai Unit # Konea 103 is a large 1315 square foot (plus 700 sq ft Lanai/Garden) GROUND FLOOR hotel condo. Honua Kai condo's and the resort offers many wonderful modern amenities. Many extra personal touches from a proud owner are visible in the condo such as iHome alarm clocks, upgraded tv in living, Amazon Echo with Spotify music, keyed lanai, vitamix blender, bathroom dryer rack, bathroom stools, and many other owner supplied goodies for your use such as beach chairs, a beach umbrella, an ice chest, boogie boards, beach towels, a pack n play with a 3" thick mattress, bed bumpers, strap on booster seat, etc.

The family friendly Ground Floor units include many bonuses not offered on any of the floors above. Extra tall 11' ceilings, oversized lanai's, and very quick and easy access in and out (from the Lanai or condo door) ... no elevators needed. The lanai opens up to the a lush garden area, pathways down to the pools, and views of the resort and ocean.

With a king Bed with luxurious linens in both the master and two King beds in the second bedroom and a Queen plus comfort sofa sleeper in living, the condo is a perfectly comfortable fit for up to 8 adults. The luxurious comfort sofa sleeper has solid platforms that provide even support with no bars, no springs, and no sagging and features a full 80" length of sleeping surface. Our sleeper sofa is more comfortable, longer, and 6" wider than the standard Honua Kai sofa bed. So now all our guests, regardless of where they sleep, can rest comfortably.

Each bedroom and living have their own HD flat screen TV's and cable. In addition, the living room features a wall mounted 65" 4k smart TV and a Blu-Ray DVD player. Wireless AC Fast Internet (Fiber 300 MB service) is also included free of charge.

Two Years in a Row!
This was the second year in a row we stayed at a property with this owner, and we once again had an amazing vacation. We loved waking up every morning and eating breakfast as a family outside, and then would walk to the beach and often finish our days at Duke’s. The property itself is super clean with a modern kitchen and so much space for the family. Would book again in a heartbeat!!!

An Incredible Family Vacation!
We took our first ever family vacation to Maui recently, and were thrilled with our experience with this lovely, inviting, and clean place! Our son has allergies, so the kitchen was a necessity. Brandon answered all of our questions about shipping food and supplies in advance of our stay. The kids had so much space to hang out and play, and we ate breakfast outside every morning with a view of the ocean from the ground floor! The beach here is so nice, and just a two-minute walk from your door. We ended everyday with beach time and dinner at Duke’s (also a quick walk!). The resort itself was an easy drive away from everything we wanted to do on the island. Monty was so nice and provided all of the information needed for convenient check in and check out. In short, we 100% plan on a return visit!

The unit’s location was very convenient. We could go straight to the pool from the lanai and it was a short hop to the beach. Parking underground was limited so anytime we returned from dinner after eight or nine we had to park outside. The only suggestion I have is for some fresh pots and pans. Thanks for a great vacation condo!

Practically Perfect in every way
This unit exceeded every expectation. The location could not have been better. It was on the main floor and the doors opened up to the courtyard, the pools, and then the beach. The unit was stocked with beach chairs, a beach umbrella, boogie boards, and snorkel gear. We just showed up, relaxed and had the trip of our lives. Thank you, we will certainly be back.

Wonderful Maui condo
We had a wonderful stay at this condo at Honua Kai. The unit was spacious and beautiful, and fully stocked with everything we needed including beach toys for our little one. It was so nice to be able to step outside our lanai and head right to the pool or beach. My only two small complaints were that the dryer took forever to dry clothes as it’s ventless; I relied on the laundry situation and we packed light as a result. In hindsight I probably would’ve packed a bit more had I known how long laundry would take. We also had a mouse run through our unit which was an inconvenience, though Brandon and his on-island helper Monty were helpful to try and get it addressed, the engineering team that came to set a trap was fairly slow and the process ended up taking quite a bit of time. A bit of a bummer when trying to relax on vacation. But we know it’s a first-floor unit in a tropical location, so critters are bound to be around. That said, Brandon compensated us for the inconvenience, which we appreciated.

Beautiful Property and Great Location
This was my family’s 4th trip to Maui and one of our favorite properties. The location is super convenient: it’s a short drive to shops and restaurants and we always had parking in the garage. You can rent mopeds from 808 Mopeds, which is a 1 minute drive. Downtown Lahaina is a 20 minute moped ride and about an 8 minute car ride away. The bedrooms and bathrooms are spacious and the main living area is really big with lots of room to hang out, eat, watch tv, etc. The entire back patio wall opens up or you can just open a small section of it. The kitchen has plenty of prep space and the washer/dryer is a very convenient. We always had comfortable temperatures; the AC works really well and the large living room ceiling fan feels like a 2nd AC unit. There’s 3 smart TVs with access to most streaming apps. Some don’t require an account but others do. Read the pdf that the owner sends; it’s full of every detail you’ll need for everything in the property. There’s nothing that was missed and it’s super helpful. Any issues we had were quickly resolved by Monty the property manager. There’s plenty of towel dispensers on the property grounds and a few pools and hot tubs. Duke’s is a few footsteps away and is a great place for food and drinks and the to-go service is very reliable. We used one of the many gas grills to cook food we bought at Costco. With the sofa bed you can easily sleep 5 people. There’s a gym on site as well as a convenience store. Room keys are waterproof wristbands. I can’t say enough good things about our experience and the clear and prompt communication from the property owner and property manager.

Great family-friendly unit!
This unit was in a prime location of the Honua Kai resort. Just steps away from the pools, with views from the ground floor lanai. We loved being able to enter/leave the unit from the lanai door, without dealing with hallways or elevators. The lanai door wouldn't lock from the outside when we first arrived but we let the property manager know and engineering was out the same day to fix it. The beds were comfortable, the rooms were huge, and the unit was clean. Most importantly, its location can't be beat. We had a great trip!

Fantastic unit, amazing resort and perfect location
We stayed with another family for a week in March and this was the perfect home base for our perfect vacation. The ground floor unit was a game changer to be able to get in and out without having to deal with elevators, lobbies, etc. The high ceilings in this unit make the place feel even larger than it already is. It came equipped with everything we needed throughout our stay. Loved having the Vitamix to be able to do smoothies and the Instant Pot for easy cooking. Honua Kai is the perfect resort with so many great amenities and a beautiful beach just steps off the property. Our kids LOVED exploring all the different pools/hot tubs. Towel tracker was super convenient though make sure to get your towels early in the morning as some days they seem to go fast. The beach out front of Honua Kai was super fun. The waves were a blast to play in and the kids were even able to see lots of cool tropical fish with just a lifejacket and goggles 15-20 feet from shore. I would stay here again in a heartbeat.

This was our 7th trip to Honua Kai and without a doubt Konea 103 is our favourite unit. It was also our first time in a ground unit and we enjoyed not having to deal with elevators, the kids could just go outside on their own. When we weren’t at a restaurant, each meal was on the lanai. Monty was great and very responsive to questions, the check in and out process was seamless. Overall the unit was spectacular and we look forward to coming back.

Great stay
We stayed here for three nights after a 10 day stay in Kihei. We loved it here. Everything about this condo was perfect. Our 22 month old could walk outside the door and play soccer in the grass or we could go for a short walk and be in the pool. The pool was amazing. Great place for the kids and lots of other kids at the resort for the little ones to make friends. Communication with Brandon always had fast responses and we were happy that it worked out we could get late check out. I would definitely stay here again. Only heads up I will give is the beds were too firm for our liking. Although I am sure there are people that prefer firm, it was tough to get a good nights sleep. We also had 2 babies in the room with us that used the 2 or the 3 playpens there and had a pretty good sleep. We put two of the playpen mattresses in one playpen to make it softer for our older (almost 2) and our 7 month old just had one and they both seemed comfortable at night.

Loved staying at this ground floor condo. It was so convenient for the 10 of us to gather (we rented 2 other condos on 2nd floor for 6 other family members). We were right outside of the pool and also great access to the beach. Condo was supplied with everything we needed for our weeks stay. Would highly recommend. It was also very easy to work with the concierge and booked all the excursions that we wanted.

Thanksgiving in Maui
Such an amazing trip!!! We love this place. We have rented a ground floor unit each time and this unit was perfect for our family of 5. The owner/host Brandon was excellent to work with and I will definitely be looking to rent from him again in the future. The unit was updated, clean and welcoming. We cooked in the condo most nights and it has everything you would need and more. The unit is also located very close to the pools which was a huge bonus and being located on the ground floor that opens out to the well manicured grassy area of the resort was perfect for our young children. We can't wait to return. This was the most memorable and relaxing Thanksgiving we have ever had. Mahalo

Fantastic Condo in an Outstanding Location - Perfect Beach Vacation!!
We stayed a week at this condo in late October 2021 and had a phenomenal stay! This unit is gorgeous and is in one of the best locations in the entire resort – the lanai is just a few steps away from the pool but is also surrounded by very nice landscaping that provides some privacy for al fresco dining or lounging on the lanai. The beach was great and only about a two-minute walk from the unit - soft sand, plenty of space to spread out, and good for swimming and snorkeling when the waves weren't too big. We were very happy with the beach supplies provided with the condo – chairs, umbrella, boogie boards, etc. The condo itself was amazing – very well maintained and wonderfully outfitted. The king size beds and en suite bathrooms for both bedrooms were perfect for two couples travelling together. We’ve stayed with other couples in VRBO rentals in the past and usually one couple gets the primary bedroom while the other couple ends up with a shared bathroom or smaller bed – not so in Honua Kai 103 – both couples enjoyed a ‘primary bedroom’ with a private bathroom – what a great floor plan! The living and dining areas were also both well sized and comfortable for four adults. The furnishings were high-quality and comfortable, especially the bedding. We all slept very well on the comfy beds and enjoyed the quality linens. Communication with the owner and property manager were excellent and we were provided with a very comprehensive guide to the resort, the unit, and the area before we arrived which made it really easy for us to orient ourselves quickly upon arrival. I highly recommend this resort and particularly this unit and would absolutely stay here again on a future visit to Maui!

Awesome family vacation spot. Photos truly do not do this place justice. Ground floor unit was the best! Who needs a balcony when you can just walk right out through your private lanai and grassy area. Unit location is close to pool, beach, and Duke's restaurant. Peekaboo ocean views were a pleasant sight while sipping coffee from the huge lanai. Our family of 5 (2 adults, teen, and tween, plus grandma) enjoyed our stay. The unit was clean (I'm picky about cleanliness). Beds and furniture were comfortable. All beds are KING size with 2 beds located in the second bedroom. Kitchen had everything we needed to make great meals. In-unit washer and dryer were very helpful. Beach gear was plentiful with enough boogie boards and chairs to keep everyone happy. The resort itself is pleasant. There are many pools to choose from, beach is walking distance, an onsite restaurant nearby, and a general store onsite that has an assortment of grocery items, sandwiches and coffee. Parking is not assigned but spots are plentiful if you return at a decent hour. There aren't many handicap spot so plan accordingly if needed. Overall Brandon (owner) was very great to work with and quick to respond to messages. Process from check in to check out was easy and painless. This place felt like home and I will definitely be contacting Brandon again for our next trip to Maui.

An amazing place to stay!
We had an amazing stay in Konea 103. The room came equip with everything we could possibly need. The ice chest, umbrella, sand toys, and boogie boards were so awesome to have already stocked in the room. Everything was clean and comfortable. The location itself could not be any better. I would highly recommend! Can not wait to come back.

Perfect in Every Way!
This property was a dream. The location was perfect and the ground floor convenience with the lanai access, made it extra special. The condo was so luxurious in its comfort and Brandon, the owner, and Monty, the property manager, were incredibly responsive and helpful in ensuring that we planned appropriately for the best vacation and were well taken care of while here!
