Das Hotel liegt direkt an der wunderbaren Kaanapali Beach, einem der schönsten Strände dieser Erde. Vom Flughafen erreichbar mit Taxi oder Uber in rund 45 Minuten. Die Anlage ist gut gepflegt mit viel grün, Palmen und Teichen. Der Empfang an der Rezeption war professionell freundlich, aber nicht herzlich. Das ginge sicher noch besser. Die Zimmer sind sehr schön, modern und grosszügig. Unbedingt eines mit Meerblick buchen, man kann dann auf der Terrasse sitzen und Wale beobachten. Anstelle einer Mini-Bar hat es einen Kühlschrank, das hätten wir bei dem Preis nicht so erwartet. Ansonsten hat es alles was es braucht, einen sehr grossen Safe (für Laptop, Kamera, etc.), genug Schubladen und Schränke, USB Ladeanschlüsse, etc. Das Frühstück ist sehr reichhaltig. Es hat auch eine bediente Station für individuelle Omlettes oder Spiegeleier. Hier fehlt es an nichts. Das Essen ist sehr hochwertig und wird phantasievoll serviert. Nichts sieht gleich aus. Jedes Mal eine neue Überraschung. Der Grund-Tenor hier ist „Relax“. Runterfahren und geniessen. Das Dörfchen Lanai ist nur 10 Minuten entfernt, dahin gibt es einen regelmässigen Bus, den wir allerdings nicht genutzt haben. Die meisten Liegen und Stühle in der sehr schönen Pool-Anlage stehen Richtung Meer. Auch hier kann man Whale-Watching machen ohne Nass zu werden. Bringen Sie Ihren Feldstecher mit!
