The Mahana at Kaanapali Unit 317, Lahaina, Maui

During this year's annual visit (June 2023), we repainted the condo with a different color scheme that Quyen used at our other remodels. We also replace the bar stools with back support to make them more comfortable. We also order a custom art piece for the bedroom as well.

Our fully renovated (May 2018), luxurious, coastal contemporary one-bedroom suite with a floor-to-ceiling window and private lanai is located on Kaanapali Beach just north of the famous Puu Kekaa (Black Rock beach). We are on the 3rd floor of the Lanai building (left building) at The Mahana.

We are trying to capture the essence of resort living with the cool and casual style of Tommy Bahama's new lines of furniture. Fully stocked gourmet kitchens with brand new appliances, bathroom with dual sinks (a rarity with one-bedroom suite), washer and dryer will make sure that you will feel pampered and relaxed after an active day at the beach.

Stroll our mile-long stretch of beach, snorkel just offshore, relax at the oceanfront swimming pool. Explore West Maui's many beaches and bays, championship golf course in Kapalua, fine shopping at Whalers Village.

Instead of purchasing a condo that was partially upgraded to the previous owner's taste or budget, we selected this condo because we can start with a clean slate. The materials, appliances, and furniture we chose are the reflection of our desire to have a luxury oasis for our guests, or when we visit. My wife hates it when we spent our hard-earned money on vacation and stay at a place that is not nicer than our own home. Therefore, we are doing our best to make sure that our guests enjoy the inside of our unit as much as they are enjoying the beautiful, well-kept ground at the Mahana or the spectacular ocean view.

Enjoy your breakfast, lunch, and dinner in the lanai with comfortable Janus et Cie’s outdoor dining set. Ceiling fan with light keeps you comfortable on the hottest day.

Duke's Restaurant and Bar is steps away next door and right on the beach. Java Jazz, five minutes walk away, is a local favorite that serves breakfast and dinner with live music.

** June 2023 **
After five years, our condo still looks beautiful. A big thank you to our guests and our cleaning crew for taking excellent care of the place.

This time, Quyen wanted to add some pop to the condo; so we repainted the ceiling, walls, and doors with a new set of colors. The picture didn't really bring out the differences with the new colors but it looks great in person.

We also brought over new bar stools with back support that allows our guests to sit more comfortably. This is where our sons sit for hours (after coming back from the beach) playing games on their computers.

** May 2020**
The first picture you see is taken on May 29th, 2020. Two years after our remodel. Our condo still looks as great two years later. A big thank you to our guests for taking great care of our home-away-from-home.

**April 2019**
This is our second trip back after the renovation completed in May 2019. We restocked the kitchen, upgraded the rice cooker, and added the All-Clad waffle maker.

We replaced all the King pillows, upgraded the bedroom TV to 50" 4K, two brand new set of snorkeling gears, new and larger Chilewich rug in the entryway.

We also deep clean the floor and grout.
