We purchased this unit in 2017. Since then, we have made lots of upgrades to the already "good bones" of this unit! Check out our great reviews!!
This unit is designed and set up for TWO ADULTS.
We are sure that you will enjoy the new furnishings that make this unit light, airy and comfortable. Cool new A/C, direct oceanfront studio unit on the top floor (third floor) of this small complex, with popular Magic Sands Beach on one side, and a peaceful park on the other. A popular restaurant, Magics Beach Grill, is open right downstairs!
Private Queen sized bed/mattress, right next to the sliding doors allows you to fall asleep and wake up to the sounds of the ocean! The kitchen has been stocked with all the necessities, and then some!
Lots of cabinetry for all your storage needs, and an updated bath and kitchen make this unit a great place to enjoy your Big Island adventure!
The unit comes with complimentary WIFI and cable TV, along with a private parking space. There is also a coin-op laundry room downstairs for your use, as well as a swimming pool and two bbq's. We also provide snorkel gear, over-sized beach towels, beach chairs, boogie boards, picnic blanket, umbrellas and coolers for your day trips.
This building is only three floors, and no elevators, but it's worth the steps to get the private and best views from the building. Our unit is located in the center of the building, right next to the middle stairwell for easy access.

Can’t beat the view
My husband and I find ourselves going back to Magic Sands every visit because you just can’t beat the view. Watching the beautiful sunsets from across the ocean and listening to the lullaby of waves as we fall asleep has become our favorite past time. This particular unit has air conditioning and is well maintained. We would definitely book again in the future!

Convenient, very clean, and well furnished. Owners provide everything you need for comfortable lodging. It appears the condo has been updated with new appliances, bathroom, and bed. The owners also provide quality beach chairs, towels, snorkeling equipment, and an umbrella so you can enjoy the nearby beaches. The western wall of the unit is all glass and the ocean sunsets are outstanding and perfectly framed by palms. We would definitely recommend this Vrbo listing. (Just so you know, you do not have access to the ocean at the adjacent "Magic Sands Beach" in Winter months when the trade winds scour the sand away from the shore. However, there is still a sandy shelf for sunbathing and other activities. The sandy beach "magicallly" return in the Spring when the winds shift. There are other wonderful beaches north and south of Kona for snorkeling and swimming in the Winter months.)

Our week in paradise
We loved this place and this location. We came here for our 25th wedding anniversary and I can't imagine a better place. We toured around to other beaches on the island, but our favourite beach was the one right next door to the condo -- Magic Sands Beach -- what a sweet spot! The restaurant attached to the building -- Magic Sands Grill -- is also fantastic, as are the people who work there -- from Brooke who manages the restaurant, to Anthony the sous-chef, to Paul who washes dishes in the back -- wonderful people and great food made with pride. Our week at Kona Magic Sands was a dream -- I only wish we were still there. Beautiful unit, amazing location!

Although there were a couple of minor cleanliness issues this time around such as an old pizza being left in oven, sticky cabinets, and a dusty fridge it wouldn’t prevent me from staying here time and time again. Great location, amazing sunset views and easy access to water. Can’t ask for more!

Amazing view, the owner went above and beyond by providing everything you need to enjoy your stay. snorkelling equipment, chairs ect!!! Great job. Only thing I would say is that I would move the furniture so you can enjoy the view. Get rid of the pub style table (not comfortable) and put in a set you can sit and enjoy your coffee and meals at.

Awesome Ocean Front Studio
Light and bright studio with full kitchen. Comfortable queen bed that looks right out over the ocean. The decor is cute and beach themed. Clean and in good condition. Assigned parking space. There is a shaded park on one side and the Magic Sands beach park on the other side. Highly recommend for 2 people

A beautiful spot
The property overlooks the beach - I will miss the waves crashing. It was also very functional as a base for day trips around the island. The beach is pretty but can be rough. The pool is a huge advantage when the beach is not so user friendly. The restaurant By the beach was great too. Everything at your fingertips if you wanted it. I loved how the owners had made the property feel like a holiday home. A bonus having the beach chairs and cooler bags. Would thoroughly recommend.

Perfect stay!
I tried to find one thing I could offer some constructive criticism on for this stay but there’s none. Everything is exactly as listed, the condo was spotless, the location is ideal, there was not one single thing we needed that wasn’t right there in a drawer or cupboard. Literally everything like ziplock bags, aloe spray, coffee filters and bandaids. The restaurant downstairs has a great menu and the bartenders are experts. There’s also a beach shack in the front of the restaurant that’s open during the day for refreshments, coffee and light snacks. On the other side of the condo is a beach park with picnic tables, benches, grills, and it’s completely shaded with large trees. We would prepare our lunch in the condo and just bring it down on the plates and eat at the park at the picnic tables watching the waves crash against the wall- then just bring our plates and silverware back upstairs to wash, it was amazing! On about day 3 we found an app called “GuideAlong” and for about $18 we downloaded the big island guided tour. It was fantastic, we just hopped in the car, got to one of the the talking points on the map and we followed it around the whole island. The next day we did the volcanos portion of the tour which was so incredibly helpful. Make sure to bring the cooler and ice packs because there are so many great stops and little roadside stands along the way. We would 100% stay here again, thanks again for sharing your remarkable space with us!
