The male receptionist was very congenial and helpful. The women (3 which were present during our stay) were very aloof and did not seem to have ' the aloha spirit '. The pool area was very nice, clean and inviting. Of the 5 mornings we were there, coffee was only available on-time one morning. The others were 30 to 60 minutes late. On all days the coffee would run out after only 3 or 4 cups were filled, even though there were usually 3 large pots. The staff seemed to be relatively unconcerned about it - which led us to believe it was a regular occurrence. Since there is not coffee in the rooms, you have to rely on their coffee or go out and buy some. This is one of the items you are paying the extra money each day for - the customer should have a bit more consideration since we paid for it. The facility overall was fine - great location - but we will not stay there again because of the 'other' issues.

Property was not as shown in pictures. Considerably worse. Faulty smoke alarm went off at midnight and three additional times. Mentioning it in the morning to the desk was met with indifference and offered nothing. She could have cared less.

We were advised at check in that our room would be serviced every 3 days. We did not have anyone clean the room until day 5. And this was after we requested it the night before. The beds were made but the glasses were not changed; nor was the garbage bins emptied. Lastly; coffee was noted to be available every morning in the lobby from 6am-8, however it did not come until after 7 am on Sunday. Overall, disappointed with the service. Excellent location right next the ocean. Can't see the ocean except for the top rooms on one side. Nice cozy island feel on the property though. Parking is easy but spots are limited. There is also a public parking lot right next door but that fills quickly. No dining accommodations in the hotel but there are tons of options right next the hotel or within a short walk. Easy water access right there at the pier but not much for beaches within walking. Short drive to some beaches though. Nice staff and my room was clean with a nice design. I would definitely stay here again unless something with a beach right on hotel property was a must.

This hotel is a great refresh of an old hotel. So it’s old but refine very well. Rooms are serene, mood lighting is perfect, good outlets. Bed and pillows are Devine! Partial ocean view was a great room category. Staff was the best!
