Great staying at a traditional ryokan
Traditional ryokan in the heart of Kanazawa! Minutes away from the market and the castle. The staff is super friendly and the rooms are very comfortable and spacious

Great hospitality and amazing Kaiseki dinner
We had a wonderful stay at Sumiyoshiya. The property itself is older but very well taken care of and our room was clean and comfortable. The owners were extremely friendly and the entire stay (check-in, check-out, etc) was very pleasant. But the best part was the kaiseki dinner that was available as an additional option (approx. $50-60/person). It was a seafood feast featuring all the fresh daily catch from the fish market next door. It was so delicious and amazing that I'd stay here again just for the dinner! The location was great; an easy walk from the main station, right next to the famous Omicho Market and a short walk to the Kenrokuen Garden. I highly recommend Sumiyoshiya for the hospitality and the amazing dinner!

It was our first experience of traditional Ryokan and we found the owner extremely helpful, great location and great experience. Very comfortable and family oriented business rather than large hotel calling itself Ryokan.

中心地にありよかったです。大浴場近くの廊下がタバコ臭くてお風呂上がりすぐ匂いが移ってしまったのが少し嫌でしたが、それ以外は満足です。
