What an amazing property and experience. This hotel was a dream. Great communication from the property owners. They have a contactless check in where they text you the codes to enter the property and there's a separate code for your room. I felt like my room was a luxury suite. Entering into the hotel, it took my breath away when I opened the front door. It's an incredible mixture of model and classic. There's a piano with a neon light fixture in a large sitting room to the left. On the right is a beautifully appointed classy sitting room. I had room 1B that was GINORMOUS. When I walked into the room my spirit felt peace and calm. It had a minimalist charm with an elegant flair to it. The mattress was a super comfortable foam type (think Tempurpedic) mattress was perfect, because I have a nickel allergy and it just summoned me to crawl in to take a nap. The bathroom is huge and had an interesting door that is propped open, that you can push open from inside of the bathroom, but not pull open from outside. There's a large TV in the room that I never used. And, there was a fireplace with lots of seating options. The bed had chocolates on them. Great coffee bar and snacks. The owners were very responsive and gracious to a minor issue I had, which was awesome. We can't wait to go again.
My criticism are very minor: There are stairs that you must use to enter the place, and most rooms require stairs. And, linen could improve but it was definitely comfortable.
Beautiful place to stay! Loved the decor and it was so much nicer than a chain hotel. We would definitely stay again!

One night in Kansas City
Really lovely attic room! Not for tall guests as ceiling height is low. 3 flights of stairs not
mentioned in booking. All in all lovely place and location!
The hotel was unique and beautifully decorated. There is a coffee bar downstairs with a few snack options. The bed was very comfortable and the room felt luxurious for such a reasonable price. My only complaint was the stairs. If you have trouble with stairs I would not recommend staying here. I had to lug my suitcase up three flights of stairs and since there is no one on site to help you, you're pretty much on your own to carry your things to your room. Other than that I loved this hotel and would recommend it to anyone and absolutely stay here again in the future.
It was a great stay. Sometime around 930 smoke alarm went off and scared us lol someone was either smoking or set it off somehow. It was a good laugh after the panic.
This was a chic little property, perfect for a night away with my husband. The room (especially the bed) was extremely comfortable and well-appointed. As an interior designer, I appreciated the time and attention that went into the decor, art and furnishings. This property could easily have been in Boston, NYC or San Francisco. We will absolutely stay here again!!
Having previously lived in KC for 20+ years I knew the area I wanted to stay. My research lead me to this newly opened Gem of a property (2023). The beautifully converted three story property did not disappoint. From the quality finishings to the upgraded amenities and prime location, this is a must for your next KC visit. Check-in is automated and you receive access codes to the main entrance a room via email. Unfortunately, I wouldn't not recommend staying here if you.have mobility issues due to there not being an elevator and the distance and steps from the street. Other than that, if you like historic, eclectic properties you've found it!
Without hesitation, this property receives my highest recommendation. AAAA++++
A charming place with comfortable beds. The bathroom layout was a bit challenging- tight squeeze at the sink. It would be nice to have coffee in the room rather than having to navigate downstairs for it. The common spaces are beautiful. I would stay there again.
Outstanding in nearly every respect. Elicited genuine surprise and delight from the moment of arrival. The hotel is a beautifully restored historic residence with lovely period details and superior contemporary interior design and furniture in a great location. The hotel has contactless access and service so don’t expect a boutique experience like you might find in some hotels with that label but it’s not missed here because you can see the care that goes into every detail of the operation. Example: the hotel provides a high-quality handheld clothes steamer in every room. One of many nice and thoughtful considerations. The only issue we had was spotty internet service—probably not the fault of the hotel. The whole experience is beyond the conventional. Highly recommended.
This is a luxurious property, designed to a last little detail with exceptional taste. You walk in and you feel at home. Just stunning and comfortable.
