This was a *horrible* stay. I’ve stayed at this exact property several times in past years, so when needing an affordable room this is where I turned. This stay was nothing like I have EVER experienced at a hotel. First, I check in, and I am denied a ground level floor when they do not have elevators for my mother with limited mobility. We get up to the room, and the bed is unmade, there’s someone else’s belongings, and the shower is dirty. I go back downstairs to complain, and we were given another room. This room, the bed was also unmade, and there were dirty towels in the shower. I go back downstairs once again, and tell the employee I would like a room that has been housekept. So, he offers me a ground room, which he had denied me to begin with. We asked several times, including multiple times a day, for a business card to the location to contact the manager about this stay. Although we were promised one, we never received one. When we checked out, we were told we had to pay for the room. Which, I had booked through this site, and had my receipt and card statement. The employee argued with me, even while holding my phone, reading the receipt for his property, and tried to get me to pay another $137 (when I’d already paid $155). The room we settled with was still unclean, and the lock on the door was falling off. Several rooms are occupied by homeless persons and their animals. They’re outside at night, loud, and smoking marijuana. It does not feel like a safe property.
