The location was very convenient. The room was missing hand soap and the shower floor looked like it had a build up of soap scum. I booked and paid in full through Expedia but when I checked out I had an additional "urban tax" charged. The hotel should have all the pertinent taxes entered into Expedia. The auditor was at the desk when I left and could have been more congenial.

The Fontaine is a wonderful property. The restaurant was excellent. However, there are areas of improvement, especially concerning Expedia VIP Members and our benefits. I had to remind staff about the upgraded room, free drink, and late check-out. They obliged when I mentioned it, but it's always nice when those benefits are top of mind when checking in. There was quiet a bit of wear/tear on the property and in our room including a shattered mirror. This property used to be so fresh. However, it needs a renovation at this point.

It is a unique, beautiful, safe and well maintained property. So close to the plaza we parked the truck for the weekend. Perfect for exploring the KC Plaza area!
