BEWARE!!!! I reserved a room at their Wilmington North Carolina location for a wedding I was attending. I booked the room from October 15-22nd. I decided to go to Charleston, SC for a few days, as I'd never been there. I asked if I could change my reservation to the 18-22, but they had a no cancellation policy. So I figured I would just pay for the room in SC and double down on the hotel costs for those 3 nights. I drove from SC to NC on the 18th to check in. That's where the nightmare began. I couldn't get access to the room so I contacted the property. After holding for over an hour, I was informed that they had "given my room away" because I hadn't checked into the property on the 15th, yet THEY STILL EXPECTED ME TO PAY FOR THE ENTIRE WEEK! They "double dipped" on the room for that week. I travel often and have NEVER experienced anything like this. I was put in the position to try to find a new room, at the last minute while there was an Ironman going on in town. There were no rooms available anywhere close to Wilmington. I had never been to the area, it's dark and I'm trying to find a place to stay. This company has absolutely no integrity, or business morals. I am a small business owner in California and I would NEVER expect to render NO services, yet require the guest to pay for a hotel they never stepped foot in. They have refused to refund the money (for a room I never saw) therefore, I will be disputing these charges with my bank and will fight this until it's right.
