Not only was this the cleanest property I stayed at in the entirety of my stay in Nepal, but it was the best breakfast I had, and we were lucky to meet the manager who not only helped arrange our taxi to the airport, but then paid for it. Was very happy to spend out last night here.

Through much of my stay in Kathmandu, I stayed at the Oasis. I’ve reviewed it several times, and I can’t say enough good about this property, for it was the perfect base of operations for my Nepal Adventures. The manager Tulsi was great and even Organized my Lukla/ECB Trek through the hotel’s sister company Third Rock Adventures. Perfect location, great staff, and awesome tour company, you just can’t go wrong with this one.

Oasis Kathmandu is perfect hotel from which start your exploration of Kathmandu and the surrounding area. Located in Thamel, you’re positioned to some of the shopping and dinning in Nepal. The hotel’s restaurant and cafe serve to fulfill your culinary needs, and the breakfast is quite good. But key factor in this hotel’s charm is the staff’s personable attitude; everybody is friendly and helpful. The master of ceremonies of all this hospitality is the hotel manager Tulsi. He is quite the character, but trust me you are in very good hands. He connected me with the hotel’s sister travel agency, setting up my Bhutan and Lukla trips. In short, I couldn’t be happier with Oasis Kathmandu, and I’m currently using it as my base of operations for my month long stay in Nepal.
