Shabby and Overpriced
Property is old and worn. Several issues: curtains are motorized but would not open in bedroom and living room, lights would not light, cockroaches, tub/shower would not drain, brown stains running down shower tile and spots where something removed, scars on walls and doors where paint is gone, carpet on deck is worn through. Called for support but took quite a while fir Vacasa to respond. Please know this is supported by Vacasa, not VRBO. Property is old and dated. We definitely would NOT recommend. Requested a refund.

Nice view, terrible management
The Unit in A building has a great view from the lanai. We watched whales playing and even caught the occasional turtle popping it's head up. A building has the best views with B and C being a little further back and at an angle. Floors 2 and 3 are better for ocean viewing. You will need a car to drive to Kaunakakai for groceries and other supplies. Goods and Grindz is about 5 minutes away and has a small convivence store and a take out restaurant. There is good snorkeling at the beach at mile 20. Go at high tide as it is pretty shallow. The area is pretty rural with no nightlife. The Unit is well appointed and fully stocked with amenities. Loved the full sized appliances. Remote controlled blinds and ceiling fans were a nice touch as well. The gas stove and pots and pans required a good scrubbing. The terry cloth cup towels are useless and should be thrown in the garbage! Our problems started when we arrived and the unit was not cleaned. Vacasa responded promptly and sent someone from town to give a quick clean up and replaced the linens. She did a great job. After that we got absolutely nothing from Vacasa. For the next 13 days we only received the occasional response from their head office in Portland, Ore. We had several issues, broken hair dryer, clogged bathtub drain, broken lanai door, no batteries for remotes, etc., that were not addressed during our entire stay. We would consider staying here again if Vacasa could get it's act together.

Wonderful first time stay on Molokai
Wavecrest was nicely situated on the island that we were able to easily see both East, west, and middle of the island sites. Nice, spacious condo to relax in at the end of the day.
