An area which also continues to be a guest favourite is the breathtakingly stunning timber patio, slightly elevated and sitting directly overlooking the sandy beach and the clear blue Ionian Sea. - Xi Beach itself is a 5 minute walk away and is served by numerous tavernas sitting at the back of the beach and accessed directly from the sand, as well as sun loungers/umbrellas and plenty of water sports should you be the more adventurous type.
- A 15 minute ferry ride across the bay from Lixouri will take you to the capital of the island, Argostoli. Again, this is a wonderfully cosmopolitan town with the most delightful bustling harbour front, where the rich and famous often choose to moor their super yachts.
