The cottage stands as a two-story structure, its compact size adding to the cozy and intimate atmosphere. The roof is pitched with wooden beams and covered in thatch, a traditional roofing material of the time, giving the cottage a quintessential and timeless appearance.

Skipton is nearby with its cobbled streets and medieval castle, offering access to the Yorkshire Dales, whilst the Victorian spa town of Harrogate boasts fabulous shops, an excellent theatre and Harlow Carr gardens.
