It is comfortable, older hotel. Quirky even. Everyone very helpful, nothing a bother. Bedding and towels excellent quality. Breakfast was freshly cooked, and superb. Plenty of choices. Service excellent. Dinner was fabulous, in presentation and taste, again cooked to order. A busy evening function, but residents came first. Will definitely stay again.
Steeton Hall was a lovely property to stay at in the area. It is an historic bed & breakfast with full on-site restaurant and bar. The staff were warm and welcoming and very accommodating; the room we were given was apparently the honeymoon suite because it had a stunning four-poster bed in it. Dinner and breakfast were first-rate - highly recommend!!

Happy with my stay
Dated and could do with refurbishment. Excellent service, especially from the man running the bar,
The staff are lovely. The room we had (which was the most expesive) looks absolutely nothing like the pictures. It had mismatched, stained furniture which had all clearly been bought second hand and not cleaned. The bathroom was bonkers. The building could be so beautiful but it has been refurbished by someone who hates their guests.

Overall happy
In line with some other feedback, the hotel could desperately do with up-dating which is a shame as the staff are excellent and do their best to provide a great experience. A decent bar area and the food is very good, both in terms of menu choice and quality.
Old feature house with lots of history. Room needs a bit of TLC to make it excellent but the food is amasing. Very generous portions and very tasty especially the specials. Very afforable too. Lovely staff that helps with my needs. Would stay again
Good stay overall. Room was lovely and very clean, staff were friendly.
As this is a venue that is used for parties etc it is busy even though the hotel side is small. Noise outside in the car park up to 1am when we did have to phone reception to ask them to intervene, went on until nearly 2am which is a shame but would still come back.
Clean , comfortable beds good parking beautiful grounds. Food was lovely good selection of evening meals, breakfast was fabulous. Big portions.
The staff was very helpful and pleasant. Needs low background music , there was lots of silence in the dinning room .

Disliked: Amenities
Room very disappointing for a superior, expensive, also no nice lounge area to relax in, just a small sports like bar
Really nice stay here when in Steeton with work. Hotel requiring a bit of upkeep in places but warm, cosy and great service. Will be using more from now on.
