Disappointing, uncomfortable, worn and dirty accommodation
I've stayed in villas every holiday and have travelled to Malta and Gozo many times. Advertised as a 'cosy/quaint cottage' is mis-leading, as are the photographs that are meant to represent the accommodation. On arrival, the house was dirty, with cobwebs and a layer of dust/grime in the kitchen on the appliances and the oven was not clean. The sofa and chairs were dirty, with stains and leftover food, which had not been cleared properly. To her credit, the owner did respond quickly by sending the 'cleaners' back - however they turned up without any cleaning products and asked to use our cloths/products. The prepared to take away the cushion covers for cleaning, but said it would take a week. The owner then provided throws for the furniture as we were only staying 8 days. The sofa was hard and uncomfortable and you could feel the springs when sitting for any length of time. The two wooden loungers were rickety with broken rungs and the coverings were too thin and covered with spots of black mould. The kitchen tap leaked into the cupboard below and caused an awful smell and we could not open it. The cutlery draw was dirty and none of the cutlery or crockery matched. On a positive note, the double bed was comfortable and the bathrooms we used (wet rooms) were clean - the showers were great. The wifi signal was strong, even outside around the pool and the air conditioning in the bedrooms is a real bonus when the weather is hot as there are no windows in either bedrooms. We were first drawn to this villa because of the description and photos on the HomeAway website and the fact that it had a pool. I would say that using old and new photos is misleading as from the photos we thought the villa was bigger than it actually was. In one photo there is a picture of an electric kettle - which was not present. I would advise anyone looking to stay here needs to know that there are no sunbathing areas - the high walls surrounding the property block out all sunlight, which might be a relief in the summer months, but we found this disappointing during the month of September. We choose villa holidays as they represent a home away from home and unfortunately this is not a home, holiday or otherwise.

This is an idyllic rustic and rambling cottage, very private, comfortable
We spent a lot of time in the pool which although small was a wonderful escape from the heat. The air conditioning is very effective and economical to use. A perfect setting to have a simple relaxing break, and well equipped for a weeks get away On arrival we were met in the town and escorted to the cottage then shown around by a very nice gentleman, any enquiries we had were quickly dealt with by a lovely local lady. Gozo has plenty to offer and the people are very friendly and helpful. Highly recommended if you are looking for somewhere to switch off and escape the rat race.

very nice house
we really enjoyed our stay in the house. It looks just like on the pictures if not even better. Perfect to relax. There is a bus stop close by and its about 30 min walk to victoria or xlendi beach. The hosts are friendly and communication was easy as there were always quick responses if help was needed.

Ruhig gelegen. Gut ausgestattet.
Nettes Farmhouse, wunderbar ruhig gelegen.
