We called VRBO Customer Support on Wednesday January 22nd. when we discussed the issues with VRBO regarding our stay at this VRBO, we were told that they had no control over anything and it was soley on the manager/owner of the VRBO. First off this is insane. We checked into our VRBO around 4:30pm and by 10pm we were requesting to cancel the reservation and get a full refund. The reasons we are requesting this is because the pictures in the VRBO add are NOT what is seen in real life. Also they claim this house sleeps 14 people, and thats impossible unless you have 8 kids that make up this reservation. Also no where in the description of this property does is say that the 6th bedroom, is an outside bedroom, that you have to leave the house, walk downstairs and you have another room that has an exterior door on the ground floor. this is not safe for parents bringing young children. Then to top it off, that 6th bedroom, had zero lighting, because either it didn't work or it was burned out, so we had to open a microwave to get light. The tipping point however was that there was NO hot water. tepid at best. when we reached out to the manager, Jay, he said he would send someone out. Mind you, we have now traveled since 4am, no showers, including my three year old child. The plumber arrives (Jay the property manager is never there the whole time the plumber is there) the next morning and says there is no way that this water tank is sufficient for a household of 14 people
