Gorgeous view
Great place and well outfitted. Yes, there's public access right next door but really it's no big deal. Check out the new park on the bay side about 5 miles down for swimming. We enjoyed our stay!

This place is quiet and private with a great view.
The location is very private and quiet. The laundry is in the ground level utility room. It is described as a cottage which is accurate. Gradual updates are being made, the latest of which is a new AC/heating system and newer master bath. The refrigerator is large and the lower pull out freezer has an ice maker. The neighbor is friendly. The view is wonderful and there is a nice ocean breeze. The large coconut palm trees make it feel like a Robinson Crusoe treehouse. The shoreline is lined with rugged rocks and difficult to launch a kayak. The seabed has sparse sea grass and is shallow for a long way out so there are no large waves. The coral reefs in the area are about 4 miles away from shore so to snorkel it is best to go on one of the area snorkel tours. The canals have been closed off with large rocks and it is not recommended to swim or fish in the canals. The end of the roads are public accesses so there will be people walking/fishing along the waterfront. There is a very nice like new WinnDixie about 3 miles away for groceries and alcohol. As mentioned by many reviewers, the beds are very comfortable. We brought our own pillows. This place is all about the view and sunrises. For sunsets, go out to dinner at a bayside restaurant. The area has a ton of restaurants, both seaside and bayside and in between. Mrs. Mac's has 2 restaurants, the original is on the right and they serve the best waffles! Mrs. Mac's II is on the left, a wonderfully maintained diner with good food at a reasonable price and excellent key lime pie. Key Largo Fisheries has a fresh seafood market and also an outside order window for freshly prepared seafood to be enjoyed on the very large deck. This cottage is probably not the best for kids because of the high decking, stairs, and lack of easy access to the water, and no pool. But to get away to a relaxing place, it's great. Everything else around the keys is crammed in together, unlike this place.

Tranquility
The home is solid. If you are looking for a relaxing getaway with great beds this is for you. The view is priceless. The house is dated, the sceens don't shut entirely so ants and bugs do come in however I will take dated and bugs to have the tranquility this house offers. Many great card games with the kids on the patio overlooking the ocean. We fished off the wall and watched a couple locals catch a shark they proceeded to put in the canal. Thankfully we saw this and didn't even have to argue w our kids about swimming in the ocean or canal outside the house. The house is well stocked for pots and pans- having a washer and dryer available was a huge bonus! I loved the secluded location. I was blessed to watch the sunrise each am over the ocean while working out under the tree by the canoes- can't do this comfortably in many heavily populated vacation homes- key Largo was a quiet town. Many great food options and although we planned to make a day trip to key west the traffic was more than we wanted to deal with so Robbie's was as far south as we hit- plenty to do in this area!

Fabulous cabin
This cabin was just wonderful. Very nice, clean as could be, great view. Shade or sun on deck as desired. Everything you need is here. Mary Ann was great to work with - very helpful. You won't regret renting this idyllic place. In fact, you will want to return. Lovely, convenient, quiet location.

We absolutely loved it and can't wait to come back!
This was pure paradise! The cabin was absolutely beautiful and had so many personal touches that made it feel like home away from home. The beds and bedding were so comfortable! The cabin had everything we could possibly need. We snorkeled, kayaked, and fished daily. Super safe area with plenty of grocery stores and delicious restaurants nearby. It's just far enough to be secluded but still close to plenty of activities. We could have stayed there 24/7 and been totally happy but we did travel to Key West one night which was well worth the drive! We also ate dinner in Islamorada one night which was close by. We even went to Miami South Beach one night for dinner and had a great time there too! The view while sitting on the beautiful wraparound deck is breathtaking! There is comfy furniture on the deck and a hammock to lounge in as well. It really is your own little piece of paradise. We are leaving so relaxed and will miss Key Largo and this beautiful cabin surrounded by beautiful palm trees, gorgeous water, and amazing scenery. Loved everything about it!!!

Great beach house that feels like home
This is a great place: the home, all the nice seats and beds to sit and lye outside, even a love seat, the veranda all around the house, waterfront so beautiful views, the kayaks, great beds for good sleeping. And a very luxurious house that feels like a home. The location is also superb, in a kind of nature reserve. The owner is very helpfull.

Love it!
This past visit was our 2nd trip back to this lovely "cabin". We just love it. The cabin is so bright, comfortable, clean and inviting. After our 2nd day of settling in, I sent Mary Ann a message, I wanted to reserve the rental for next year. I just relax and am mesmerized by the view. We feel so comfortable and safe in the neighborhood, and my little dog seems to make so many friends on her walks. We told family members back here in PA how much we loved it and this year--we had visitors from 2 families. They too enjoyed their stay. They made use of the kayaks, fishing poles and even the water shoes that were there. Mary Ann is an excellent host. She goes above and beyond to make sure your stay is as wonderful as it can be. One example, I mentioned to her that I drank tea instead of coffee. I usually just heated water in the microwave but she went out and got us a new tea pot! I asked for a broom/mop to keep up with dirt during our 3 week stay and there it was. She did so many things while we were there, that I can't mention them all in the space allowed for a review. We were fortunate to get to meet Mary Ann in person this year and she is just as genuine as she seems on the phone and in her e-mails. So happy to have made her acquaintance. There are so many restaurants in Key Largo and we try to visit as many as we can. Two of our favorites are almost next door--Shipwrecks and Buzzards Roost. Others to consider --Sharkeys (for an inexpensive meal); Mrs. Mac'c Kitchen ;Pilot House ;Snappers; Conch House and a restaurant in Islamorada, Hog Heaven. This one was so unique and must to visit. Love Publix and the farmers markets for fresh fruits and vegetables. Coming from Pennsylvania in February, there is nothing like fresh produce. This year we ventured into the ocean more. During low tide there is a shelf you can walk way out into the ocean. Saw different marine life, including a huge lobster! No I left him there in case you are wondering. I kept collecting sea shells and put them on the outside table and they would end back up in the water the next day. So, I told myself that if I had one that I found that didn't have an inhabitant, I would have a souvenir to take home. Bummer, everyday I would put one or two shells out, they would disappear, chuckle. I hope to keep coming to Mary Ann's "little cabin in the woods." Thank you Mary Ann for everything. We are looking forward to your planned renovations!!
