This Lowcountry-style home at 18 Flyway Drive, nestled into pristine, verdant landscaping, occupies an enviable position between a wide pond and Kiawah’s immaculate ten-mile beach. Beach access is just two blocks away on Jackstay Ct, there is also an outdoor shower under the back stairs to rinse off after a long day of playing on the sand.
A wide front porch greets visitors and invites them to step through the mahogany front door flanked with sidelights. Inside, the interior is light and airy, with high shiplap ceilings, hardwood floors throughout the main living spaces, and lovely white trim.
The dining room, to the right of the foyer, has a table that will seat 8 guests. It opens to the living room, with its walls of windows and glass doors leading to the sundeck and framing the lush water views.
The adjacent open kitchen streams with natural light from windows on two sides and a skylight. The stove hood matches the white Shaker-style cabinetry, and there’s an expansive, furniture-inspired island with a gorgeous stone countertop, prep sink, and built-in shelves for cookbooks. The appliances, including a bottom-freezer refrigerator and wide-basin sink, are stainless steel, and the backsplash of pale subway tile above the Wolf® gas range makes cleanup after a big family meal a breeze. A pantry offers extra storage space, and a wine cooler keeps libations at the ready. Four seats at the kitchen counter are a great spot for the kids to grab a snack or have breakfast.

The main-level master suite offers private access to the sundeck and pond views through a large set of windows—and its spa-like master bath takes the breath away. A freestanding zinc bathtub, framed against a wall of nearly floor-to-ceiling windows, is the centerpiece. There are his-and-hers vanities with white cabinetry and pale marble countertops, pale herringbone tile, and a generously sized walk-in shower. A comfortable king bed and a desk/chair for working remotely completes the room.
Also on the first floor is a small office space with a bunk set (full on bottom, twin on top) for working remotely and/or for extra guests.
Upstairs, beneath angled ceilings and dormer window seats, is an extra sitting area. The bedroom suites are spacious and bright, featuring pond views; two offer access to private balconies. There is a second king bedroom, a queen bedroom, and a bedroom with two twin beds.
When you stay with ESPM for 3-21 nights you will receive a valuable credit of up to $280 (amount dependent on length of stay) to use toward beach gear, bikes, etc. Credit may not be available for last minute bookings, 48 hours notice is required.
