The Begelly Arms is conveniently situated for the Kilgetty, Saundersfoot, Tenby areas. It has ample parking space and they have an area for Motorhomes with electric hook-up, which is great.
There is a large bar, albeit quite expensive, but then it would be in a tourist area.
The rooms are clean and functional and not too small. Unfortunately, there was a knocking noise throughout the night, rather like a door swinging in the breeze every minute or so. Consequently, I got little or no sleep.
We didn't dine there in the evening, but the fare looks typical for this kind of hotel. We did however have the breakfast, which wasn't good. The poached eggs were overcooked and served on dry toast. I'd have hoped for more, as the chef was cooking to order in the kitchen.
The toast on the side was cold and rubbery. The marmalade was in individual containers and no more than barely orange-flavoured jelly.
Disabled beware, all the rooms are upstairs.
Overall, a good place for a one-night stay, which I think is probably their stock-in trade and the right price point.
