The staff was very friendly and helpful. The hotel was very convenient to all of the things we got to see and do I would definitely recommend the hotel to friends and family that are planning to visit Kilkenny.

The Pembroke Hotel is in an excellent location and staff was very accommodating. The room was lovely and we had a great view of the castle which was around the block. I have celiac and need Gluten free food and they took great care of me! I will definitely stay there again.

The Pembroke Hotel is conveniently located
The Pembroke Hotel is located within a very short walk of many of the sights. The Kilkenny Castle is just around the corner, less than a 5-minute walk. The Medieval Mile Museum is less than a 5-minute walk from the hotel. St. Canice’s Cathedral is also within walking distance. Breakfast is delicious and plentiful. You start off with croissants, banana bread, and jam, along with a pot of tea and/or coffee. You order your entree from the menu. I had waffles, fried egg & American style bacon, which was quite good. The wait staff are attentive. The design of our room was clever. The bedroom and sitting area can be closed off from the bathroom and wardrobe area by an interior glass-pane door. This allowed me to shower and dress without disturbing my traveling companion, who got up later. The bathroom had a shower stall with a rainfall shower head. Everything was clean. There is on-site parking at the back of the hotel. The procedure is to “set down” in front of the hotel. A team member will open the gate next to the hotel and direct you to the parking area.

Breakfast and staff service was amazing. Staff really know about the tourist attractions there and recommended more places than just Kilkenny castle. If it weren’t for them, wouldn’t have known about St Canice Cathedral. I even thought I might not have enough time to visit the cathedral and go to rock of cashel, which was my next stop and one of the staff members told me that I definitely had enough time and that Canice would take no more than 15-20 minutes. I’m glad I was able to fit in this attraction. The staff was also helpful with my bags and breakfast was awesome.

Terrific hotel right in the centre of Kilkenny. Wonderful front desk staff. Huge room and large bathroom. Furniture is a bit old and dated and a bit beaten up but room was clean and comfortable. Please lose the safety hangers. They’re a pain. Good breakfast too.

Lobby and common area is nice. Room was dated and AC did not work nor did the window open. People were courteous. Parking as a few blacks away and loading area difficult to get into. Probably would choose somewhere else next time.
