Fantastic value - Filip is a friendly, helpful hos
Villa Arka is a cozy apartment near Cavtat and the airport. We only stayed one night before our flight out of Dubrovnik but wish we could have stayed for more. Filip was a friendly, helpful host. We arrived at 10:30pm, but he was waiting for us and even drove us into Cavtat for a very late dinner. When we called for him to pick us up, he immediately found a friend to drive us back as he wasn’t nearby which we really appreciated. We got up early to catch a flight and found coffee and donuts waiting for us on the terrace as well as one of the most beautiful views of our entire trip to Croatia! Fantastic value for what we paid. Would definitely recommend.

Did not get to see the pool - it was shared amongst all the apartments in the building. Parking was tricky as the building is perched on a hillside a good 20 minutes walk to the beach and half an hour from Cavtat old town.
Room was large and had all one needed for one night's stay. Owners were helpful.
Nice view, large apartment, comfortable. We only stayed one night but equipped with full kitchen and amenities. A good 10 minute hike into Old Town and not many sidewalks. Stay on your toes for traffic, especially at night.
It is very close to the airport by taxi/uber. We only stayed one night. You have to walk ~10-15 minutes to get to the beach where you can find restaurants and bars. The room was big and had everything you need. There is no front desk but the lady welcome us as soon as we arrived in the taxi.

Disappointing
Apartment was tiny. Too small for 2 people. More disappointingly it wasn't clean. Such a shame because the family who run it are lovely but definitely not a 3 star property like advertised. Wouldn't recommend it or go back to this accommodation.if it was clean would have agreed with the 3 star rating but run down and shabby and in dire need of decoration and a good clean. Cavtat itself is a beautiful location if you go down to the Port. Short inexpensive trip by Uber well worth it.
Good location, close to airport. Was concerned about check in but a neighbour was able to yell loud enough to attract someone to come out and let me in. ( I arrived at 9 pm. Nobody around for checkin). Apartment was very nice inside.

Friendly hosts and great view
The rooms are basic but are clean and have all you need for a good night sleep. Hotel is at the top of a hill around 20 minutes walk from Cavtat old town and has a great view. Friendly hosts/owners, check-in is completed by the owners and is basically being shown around and given the key.
Taxi to airport can be arranged with the owner which is a little expensive but very good service if you are leaving early in the morning.
Catvat area is cheaper than Dubrovnik and lots of nice bars/restaurants.
Easy to find and to check in. Rooms were as promised and had good facilities. The location is a bit further from Kavtat than it looks from the map, but the walk is easy. Downsides were the exorbitant taxi fee charges by the guy who lived there (18 euros for 3 km) and the noise level from other guests, playing loud music at the pool late into the night.
We only stayed one night when passing through. So really just slept here. Didn’t spend much time in the area. Everything was fine for one night although the bed was not super comfortable and the shower did not have a holder - so you had to basically hold it with one hand over yourself when the bath to rinse etc.
We arrived late in an area that did not look very welcoming. Our room seemed like it was cleaned in a hurry. We got no towels, except one that smelled like it had been hanging there for weeks. The heat was almost unbearable. When going to sleep it felt like the bed was going to give in at any minute, squeaking very loudly. The hosts seemed a bit careless.
In the morning the area looked nicer, though with quite a bit of a walk to the center of Cavtat. The "taxi service" to the airport is the host driving you, for approximately 120 kuna (as of June 2018).
We stayed for 9 nights in May 18 & would be happy stay there again. Apartment very clean & well equipped/comfortable. Its in a quiet area & a 20 walk into Cavtat which we didn't mind. The lady who manages the apartments also lives in the same block, & was very welcoming & helpful if needed. There is a supermarket only 5-10 mins walk up the hill which was very handy. Most of the time we had the small pool & terrace to ourselves with a lovely view across the bay to Dubrovnik.
Stayed last night of trip, near airport. Was convenient and town was exceptionally quaint as there was a community "karnival" that evening. Had delicious seafood and watched the sunset.
Place was modern and host was nice. Location is not close walking distance to any of the restaurants. Also their advertise "airports shuttle" which is specifically why I chose this place. Turns out it's a taxi that has a deal with the host that the guest pays for out of pocket.
We chose Villa Arka for its proximity to the airport the night before an early flight. We were delighted with the studio space. It was bright, clean and contemporary with a great view over Cavtat and Dubrovnik in the distance. The facilities were clean, well stocked and all fully functioning. We were warmly welcomed and made to feel comfortable. Watching the sunset over Dubrovnik from our patio was a joy.
It was an easyily walkable distance into Cavat on tarmac roads with street lighting but the return walk to the villa at the top of the hill is more challenging and not a wise choice for anyone who finds any difficulties with walking.
If I HAD to find negatives I would say the studio didn't have many power sockets so hair drying and straightening near a mirror involved moving the bed and unplugging the bedside lights to use the sockets - but it probably took longer to write about that than it did to do it!
....... and remember, it's only 4km from the airport so there are planes flying overhead (but not throughout the night) so if you're looking for total tranquillity this isn't the location for you.
Andro and his wife were very friendly and welcoming, apartments were around 10 mins walk from beach and the return walk was uphill but only the last stretch. The pool was smaller than expected but nice to cool off, would stay here again if we returned to cavtat.
Apartments set up the hillside in quiet location. We had a front facing apartment with stunning views over the bay. You'll find the pebble beach is about 15minutes walk downhill then a further 10 minutes walk round the coastline to the old town and harbour front where there's numerous restaurants and bars. You can get a water taxi about 80kuna return 40minutes to Dubrovnik old town which is stunning and has many many restaurants with delicious food and shops to browse round. Dubrovnik is very hilly with numerous steps to climb through the cobbled side streets very quaint with stunning views. Ice cream parlours are a must delicious has it gets extremely hot.
Trips to Montenegro is worth a day put side visits to budva and kotor are really stunning with around 2 hours free time to wander the cobbled streets.
Elaphiti day trip to 3 separate islands by boat with lunch and unlimited drinks served on boat food was delicious a very relaxing day and a good day out.
All in all a great holiday
Great experience, great hosts, and great time. Very close to Cavtat. Cavtat is very inexpensive and very nice.

A nice view with bad air condition.
If it werent for the nice terrace and pool we wouldn't have enjoyed our stay much. We were greeted by a young man who didn't tell us much but we thought we were ordering a room in Dubrovnik, we went over there with a boat one day and bus another which was easy, walking around the old town in cavdat was also nice and in walking distance or around 30 min. Can not say I would recommand it to a friend though.
