Excellent stay! Cross Hotel was very clean, comfortable and centrally located for sightseeing in Kyoto. We arrived about 2 hours prior to check-in time and our room was ready early, which was such a pleasant surprise! We didn't need much in terms of service - but the front desk staff were always courteous. They helped store our luggage after check out and called a cab for us to head to the train station. We'd happily stay here again next time we're in Kyoto!

Great hotel. Clean, modern and right in the middle of downtown. Short walk to shopping, public transportation, restaurants, etc. The immediate area around the hotel can be a little touristy and obnoxious, but it didn't diminish our time there. Note: don't pay for the breakfast in advance, there are many restaurants & coffee shops in the neighborhood, and you are sure to find something you like very quickly. Recommended!
