I loved the daily free snacks especially the Chazuke in the evening. It was such a great perk and so nice to have a place to quietly sit at the beginning, during or end of the day. We loved the authentic atmosphere, food and staff were extremely helpful. Beds and especially pillows were so soft, luxurious feeling and very comfortable. Room very spacious too. Unfortunately did not try the onsen bath, massage chairs or gym. Next time as we definitely will stay again.

Excellent hotel, service and staff. Very well maintained property. The breakfast was great. Within easy walking distance from public transportation (both bus and train) and restaurants. Hotel window offers bright diffuse light but does not open; it is understandable given that the hotel is surrounded by other buildings at close proximity. I would stay here again and would recommend it to others.

Would def stay here again! Walkable to Nishiki Market (10 mins) and surrounding areas. The connecting rooms were a plus. Made the stay for 4 people much more comfortable. Only complaint would be the ventilation in the bathroom, but we found this to be common for some hotels in Japan. The breakfast was delicious and staff were super friendly.

Wven though the hotel is in the middle of everything, it was very quiet. Loved the Onsen & massage chairs. The room was bigger than I expected, given that most hotel rooms in Japan are tiny. This one felt like the size of a hotel room in the USA. My only minor complaint is I had asked them if my friend could check in before I got there and still put the room charge on my card that I used for the reservation. They said yes in the expedia messages, but when she got there, they made her use a machine to check in which required her credit card. When I got there a couple hours later, they could not change the charge to my card. Nor could they split the room charges. Like I said, a small issue, but I would have paid in advance if I had known they couldn't or wouldn't let her access the room before I got there. Overall, it's a lovely hotel and would stay there again.

Great hotel in a good location, with a nice bakery just across the road from it. Very zen and with a nice range of complementary delights throughout the day (wine happy hour, late evening soup etc). Attentive staff and comfortable room, except for air con which was a bit tricky to get right.

It was a terrific property and I especially loved the communal bath. After a long day of walking and shopping, being able to use their facilities was amazing!! Definitely would come back to the same facility again.

Friendly hotel in Kyoto
The room was very clean and the bathtub was huge! Paid extra for breakfast and was not disappointed. Good selection of western options. Massage chairs were appreciated. Onsen was wonderful! Close enough to nearest train station. Quiet neighborhood. Would stay again!
