Large spacious apart hotel, with all the amenities you'd want. Location is good although not at the busiest heart of the city, it is close to 2 stations and bus routes. Nishiki Market and Pontocho are in walking distance but you not near noisy crowds. Several breakfast options are nearby including chain restaurants, several coffee shops and bakeries. Family rooms are spacious and modern - nice big table to enjoy your konbini snacks. Staff are fluent in English and helpful. Good for families with kids.

Harry’s food tips were 100% every time an absolute please ire to deal with. Alice could not be more helpful in helping arrange anything. Service was outstanding. Location was good. Beds were maybe a little on the firmer side. Would come back again

Location was excellent. Relatively quiet part of town but still within close proximity to train station. Plenty of convenience stores, markets, and dining options easily within walking distance. Would stay here again if we return to Kyoto.

We loved this hotel! It was clean and quiet and the hotel staff were very helpful. We felt very safe walking in the neighborhood in the evening. There were many restaurants close by as well as a pizza place, drug store and a grocery store. Despite having all these retail places, it maintained the vibe of a residential neighborhood. I would stay here again!

This hotel provided our family of four with a a great stay. The family apartment was reasonably priced and very large. The hotel is a 2minute walk from the main train station. There are buses that will take you to all the main sights leaving regularly from the station. There is a large shopping centre at the station and everything you need within walking distance of the hotel. Highly recommend this property for families.

Mimaru Shinmachi Sanjo was perfect for our family stay! The spacious rooms were ideal for families with kids (ours are between 6 and 9), and the setup made us feel right at home. The staff went above and beyond, helping with every request we had, which made our trip stress-free. Truly a wonderful experience for families visiting Kyoto. They even helped me find something on Amazon to ship to our next hotel as a surprise for our son. Great staff!

Good service staff. Just that we have to make the futon bed ourselves and regret not to ask them to change bedsheet on 3rd night as I got to make the futon bed all over again for just one more night. The best was the washing machine. Can wash and dry our clothes effectively without the need to extend the time for drying. Overall a good hotel for stay.
