Great location very close to train station and Lawson convenience store. Love the separate Japanese-style room. Be aware the beds are two adjacent twins plus futon mattresses or single sofa bed.

Best hotel I ever stayed in in Japan. Front desk staffs were friendly and had good English communication skills. They were helpful with my questions. Room was spacious for 3 people. Then again we booked a room for 6 thinking it was similar to other Japanese rooms. This was not the case. It came with a small living room with kitchen and laundry with dryer build in. Overall i would recommend people booking this hotel. Will be coming back and probably will stay in other Monday branded hotels when in Japan from now on.

I enjoyed our stay very much overall. The property itself is very good and the staff is exceptional. I personally didn’t care for the location of the hotel. While nothing was extremely far away, restaurants were limited unless you wanted to walk 10-15 minutes. Last time I was in Kyoto we stayed at a small hotel in Gion, which was just more convenient for us, given our particular needs.

Friendly staff willing to help with anything and folded small oragami for guests. Clean spacious room with kitchen, laundry, Japanese tub. Travelled with a family of 4 and the location was good near the station. Located about a 10 minute walk and about 700 yen taxi (900 yen to shinkansen side.) Insuite laundry a game changer for those packing light to do small loads overnight (dries in the same machine!) FamilyMart is next door and easy to grab and go on the way out. Check in and out was fast. Kids loved the bunk beds just book them as adults so that the room is setup correctly. Enjoyed our stay and will be returning on a later part of the trip. There is a free shuttle (one way) to Kinkakuji in the morning but you have to book in advance.

We absolutely loved this hotel. We traveled with two toddlers and the rooms were the perfect size. There is a beautiful temple across the street and the train station is a quick walk down the road. There are amazing restaurants around and the staff was wonderful!

Extremely friendly and helpful staff, was great for our family of 4. Very clean, great location and lots of eating options and a convenience store nearby. We loved having the fridge and the washing machine and would definitely return and hopefully for a longer stay next time.

I personally enjoyed the attentive customer service provided by Monday. Although there was a language barrier, the staff made sure to address to our every need and concern. The amenities were surprisingly variety from apartment style offerings (kitchen, toaster, fridge, dining table) to private sauna room (one hour for free each day, guest can prebook in advance) The location is a 10 mins from the main train station and restaurants are a few blocks away. overall, i enjoyed my stay with them
