Best Sotetsu!
I'm a frequent traveler to Japan and usually stay at business hotels. I've been to other Sotetsu's, and can honestly say that this is perhaps the best Sotetsu that I've stayed at so far. Excellent English speaking and attentive staff. Excellent breakfast. Nice clean rooms. Great location. Highly recommend to businesses travelers or those within budget of this category of hotel.

This was our first time in a Sotetsu property and the first thing that my wife mentioned after we hit our room was that this was a really upscale place. The property has quite a few things going for it - it's in a really great location, has a ton of amenities, and has a very attentive and helpful staff. First off, the property is in a really nice location just between the Gojo station on the Karasuma line and the Kiyomizu gojo station on the Kintetsu line. This means you can easily reach most destinations in and around Kyoto and even beyond (like Nara). It is also easily walkable to Kiyomizudera temple and even the Sanjo/Shijo shopping area. As for the property itself, it offers a ton of amenities. We're talking sunscreen, all sorts of tea/coffee, face masks, shoe polish, etc. - way beyond your standard soap/lotion and slippers. There are also additional items for free rental such as clothes irons, power adapters, umbrellas. The room itself was a bit on the small side compared to stateside but it was manageable. Note that there isn't a microwave in the room, though you do get a mini fridge. Another thing to note is that the water pressure in the restroom is superb, and apparently they use filtered water throughout the entire hotel. Finally, the staff is very courteous and helpful whether in Japanese or English. Check in/out is super simple and they'll gladly hold your luggage before and after you stay. Overall a superb place for a reasonable price in Kyoto!

Our stay at Sotetsu Fresa Inn Kyoto-Kiyomizu Gojo was highly enjoyable. The staff offered excellent service and made us feel very welcomed. They were able to communicate all the different amenities they offered very clearly. Additionally, they helped with forwarding our luggages back to Tokyo. The hotel is in a very convenient spot as it's on the same street as a bus stop, and a train station. I recommend this hotel to anyone who wants a comfortable, quiet experience in Kyoto, but also convenience after a long day of walking!

アクセスもよくホテルも綺麗で清潔感があり、ベッドや掛け布団も良く、何の問題はないのですが、一つ残念だったのが、部屋が梁だらけだったことです。 ツインの部屋でしたが、枕から上を見上げたら、梁の真下でした。枕をずらして寝ましたが、足がベッド出ちゃいました
