Casa Colibrí La Fortuna, San Carlos

Multi-generation stay
We had a great experience at this property! It’s nestled in the lush country. I was impressed with how clean the property was, and the groundsman kept the outdoors in great shape. He even showed us a sloth on property.My son left an important item, and the owner coordinated a driver to drive it 3 hours to Tamarindo.Communication and check in was easy. We would stay here again!

Arnaldo has one of the best properties you’ll find in Costa Rica. A gated property with fully furnished homes, heated pools & sloths on property. Every morning was a delight to wake up to see Toucans & macaws floating around & that early morning coolness. Wonderful stay!!

Great Stay
This property is wonderful, there are other houses on the property but they are all very private. The groundskeeper showed us where the local sloth was each morning. We saw a ton of toucans one day they were so fun to watch. Having the pool right out the back door is wonderful. Need a car as it’s a bit out of townwatch.

Beautiful property and great for families
The property was beautiful and secure. The home was amazing and cannot say enough about the pool. The groundskeeper showed us sloths every morning. The house is a little bit outside of La Fortuna (15 minutes) but we were ok with that. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay!

Fantastic stay in fortuna
What a beautiful property. The pool was warm and magical. The beds were so comfortable. Lots of warm water. Not within walking distance of town, but the magic of the place was a fine trade-off.

Beautiful Property
We loved the home and property. The home is well stocked with everything you need for your stay. The outdoor area is beautiful with a lovely pool and landscaping. Arnaldo responded quickly to any of our questions. On our last morning, the groundskeeper came to get us to show us the 2 sloths in the trees at the back of the property! We also booked the chefs for our last breakfast and they were amazing! Great experience.

Sloth watching from the Pool!
Great place, Louis, the grounds keeper, told us on day one there were 3 sloths on the property. He took us around and we got great footage. We could watch one each day from the pool/patio area. The house was great. Only down side was its little trek to LaFortuna, but I would highly recommend.

Great Landing Spot for Entire Family
Beautiful gated home with relaxing pool. The location is further from town than expected but not a concern. Definitely recommend a car or other available transportation to go to town for dinner or groceries. Very nicely accommodated 8 adults. Very clean. Very responsive.anresponse from owner was very timely.

Very nice accommodations. Everything was clean and in good working condition. It was just as advertised. The added bonus was that Luis who came to clean the pool every day also took the time to show us sloths, toucans and other wildlife on the property. We would not have seen them on our own. Really enjoyed our stay!!!

From the moment we arrived, we felt immersed in the true spirit of Costa Rica. The home itself was immaculate, spacious, and thoughtfully decorated, capturing a warm and welcoming ambiance. One of the highlights was the outdoor area—lush gardens, a refreshing pool, and even a cozy sitting area where we enjoyed morning coffee with the sounds of nature all around. The host went above and beyond to ensure our stay was comfortable, with prompt communication and fantastic local recommendations. The location was ideal for exploring nearby attractions. From hiking to waterfalls to sampling incredible local cuisine, everything was easily accessible. We couldn’t have asked for a better home base for our Costa Rica adventure. We’re already looking forward to our next visit! Highly recommend this home to anyone looking to experience Costa Rica at its finest.

La Fortuna Vacation
We spent 5 wonderful nights at Casa COLIBRÍ. The house is very nice and would highly recommend. We loved the nightly visit from host pup Lulu and her friends. Luis showed us Sloths on the property every day, saw more on Property than we did at Sloth Park. Had great ATV adventures, Sky Adventure with zipline and hanging bridges in the area.

Arnaldo was a fabulous host. He assisted getting us to the best tours. We had a wonderful 5 days, the pool was a great way to unwind each night. We also did the personal chef for an evening meal. Best money spent. Five stars for all! We would woulddefinitely stay here again.

We had a fabulous 4 day stay in this house. Lovely gardens with lots of wildlife and wonderful pool. Well equipped and very comfortable. Location worked well for us as we had a rental car (house is 15 mins outside La Fortuna)

We drove from Tamarindo up to La Fortuna and unfortunately, I did not open the documents before we left so I was having a really hard time finding any information about how to check in. Costa Rican adventure getaway
Casa Colibri is an amazing place to stay. The host is very friendly, responsive, informative, & friendly. The house is very clean, well appointed, comfortable & has plenty of room. The bathrooms are exceptional. The access is easy at both the gate & the door. The pool was very clean & super enjoyable. The patio was a great place to hangout. The location was very private & secure. One of the gentlemen taking care of the place even took time to come get us and show us a sloth up in a nearby tree which was very cool to see & very thoughtful of him to take his time to help us enjoy the local wildlife. We definitely plan to stay here again & we would recommend it to everyone.

Wow! The house was wonderful!
We loved the property! One morning we were eating breakfast and we heard monkeys so we followed the sound coming from the woods in the side yars and we found the monkeys. The next morning the my son in law spoted a sloths in one of the trees on the property. We are a family of 8 and the house was very spacious and comfortable.

Stay near La Fortuna for adventure
Casa Colibri was very comfortable for our family of five with older teenagers. Everyone got their own room and bathroom! The kitchen and laundry were great for our family. We loved the pool and the groundskeeper helped us spot the sloth on the property. The drive into town is about 15 minutes on curvy, hilly roads. We stayed at the house as home base for exploring La Fortuna, Arenal National Park, Maquique Adventures rappelling and rafting, and Don Olivo chocolate tour. Great stay overall.
