It was very clean, in a good location and the staff was extremely helpful. I don't speak much Spanish, but they gave me all the help I needed. Great deal and location for the money.

Oustanding La Fortuna Location!
Outstanding location in the heart of La Fortuna. 3 minutes walk to downtown restaurants and shops. Beautiful gardens in the Courtyard that feel like you are in the Rain Forest (well, technically you are!). Accommodations are simple but clean. Everything works, and the Air Conditioning is very pleasant.

Christmas in La Fortuna
The property is conveniently located to many shops, sodas/restaurants, banks, and attractions . Parking lot is safe. The breakfast is typical Costa Rican fare that tastes just okay. The staff was very friendly. The rooms were basic, but clean. The mattress was pretty hard and the pillows were very thick.

Beautiful garden, birds when you enjoy breakfast, Iguanas were spotted on the tree, receptionist is very helpful, room is shown very clean, felt so welcomed with Towel made animal on the bed, shampoo and hair dryer in bathroom, spacious room with volcano view if sunny.But wakes up with bug bites marks.

Room was nice in Costa Rican standards and was clean. Staff was amazing.The tv should be upgraded to a smart tv and at full volume you could barely hear it so it needs replacing. Breakfast also had teal bacon, something you usually don't get. Bonus!

Secreto feels like you are in the middle of a rain forest - it's beautiful. The best part is the many birds that visit the property. We also saw a sloth one night and a tree frog. Staff were friendly; housekeeping staff greet you with beautiful art with towels on the bed each day. Will definitely stay at Secreto again!

Look no further, book this one!
We absolutely loved this spot! It’s really hard to know which is the best when looking online, but we would say this is one of your best options if the following are considerations: 1) value - the cost vs value is certainly there. This is a very affordable yet very clean and comfortable hotel. We were very impressed. 2) Breakfast was included! Breakfast each morning was served. Eggs, Bacon, Pancakes and Fruits + Coffee and Juice. They were willing to accommodate/adjust the meal how you liked. You could request items not to be included if you had an allergy, and you could also ask for a little extra of something. Again, the value is 100% here. 3) Location - only a couple blocks from the Main Street. Close to grocery stores where you can buy very reasonably priced fruits, coconuts, etc. Great coffee shops and treats like ice cream close by. The other great thing about this location is it’s quiet at night. No loud music, you could hear the animals and are still close enough to all amenities. 4) view/amenities - view was superb and grounds are well maintained and lush. Volcano is right in view each morning. Pool is great for a cool down. I would say only big enough for one family at a time, but didn’t seem to be an issue during our stay. Free parking. 4) Service - very good. The people who work hear are gems. Very helpful, will do their best to assist and recommend items to get you a better deal.

Hotel located in La Fortuna downtown, walking distance to restaurants, clean, green areas inside and around property. Staff is very welcoming. Good and decent Breakfast. Nice hotel for short and affordable stays. If you are looking for hot springs and pools you will need to go to a different place.

This property is very eco centric, it’s a small hotel but cute and cozy. The staff is very friendly and the rooms are great if you are looking for a stay where you can have a place to sleep comfortably, is not a big hotel with much to offer but for the price it was amazing! Everything is close from the downtown area, restaurants, coffee shops, shopping, souvenirs, ice cream, supermarkets, and more!

Great stay
Very nice stay at La fortuna hotel staff very friendly and helpful. Would recommended and would stay again. Property well taken care. Included a good breakfast. Close to center of town can walk to many downtown areas and restaurants.
