Remote paradise

Pros: You can enjoy the beautiful sunset. Maybe if you request for mountain facing room, you might be able to enjoy the view from your window!
Cons: I have broken floor tiles on my bathroom floor.
Location: Convenience to Mount Teide and hiking in the surrounding area. No other place for meal except in the hotel, I don't mind as is at remote area.
I'm a solo traveler stayed there for 2 nights. Disappointed not able to visit the Mount Teide due to bad weather. However I have plan B doing the hiking instead, which I did enjoy the hike. My personal note for solo traveler(without own hired car) : 1 : Public transport is a pain and complicated, the only bus from the hotel to the main tourist center(Playa Americas/Adeje) is at 4pm once daily! The other choice is by taxi(costing almost the same price as my air tickets to Tenerife). 2 : The cable car station is located 4km from the hotel, only way is to walk! 3 : Not really need to book the ticket for the cable car as subject to weather condition, need to call them in order to get the refund. Luckily I have Roberto(Hotel receptionist) to sort out my problem. Many thanks to him.

Tolle Lage mit Zimmern die OK sind.... man bleibt ja nicht 1 Woche!? Restaurant schön aber beim Essen hat's noch viel Luft nach oben. Sehr unflexibel wenn man von der Speisekarte abweicht!

Luxushotel am Rande der Cañadas

Pros: Das Frühstücksbuffet und die Lage des Hotels am Fusse des Teide.
Cons: Der schön angelegte Garten dürfte etwas besser gepflegt werden.
Location: Wanderungen auf der Hochebene der Cañadas, Ausflug auf den Teide, Studium der Pflanzen und sehr empfehlenswert Besucherzentrum El Portillo.
Komfortables Zimmer und Betten, schöner Ausblick, hervorragendes Breakfast Buffet, aufmerksame und nette Bedienung. All das hat seinen Preis, sowohl Frühstücksbuffet wie Nachtessen sind preislich in der gehobenen Skala. Das Schwimmbad ist klein und war defekt aber in sichtbarer Reparatur. Sehr schön und lange besonnt ist die Terrasse der Bar mit schönster Sicht auf den Teide.
